I had a good experience on my visit. Easy to make an appointment. Appointment was on time. Surprised I was seen be Dr Erika Fisher herself. Very efficient process with the pre checks then with her in the exam room. Sarah was very helpful when picking out new frames. Looking forward to my new frames coming in. When I was having eye issues they immediately saw me. Was a relief to quickly know the issues were not serious. Has to be one offs when people have less than a good experience. This is our second year here. Both great.

Together with my family, we have been with Complete Family for 5 years now. Today’s experience was a disaster - at best, either some on their front staff do not know how to resolve patient questions politely and competently or at worst, they seem to be deliberately unwilling to explain why they are charging different amounts for the same service under the same insurance coverage - a higher charge for my wife than for me.

In at least 3 instances over the past 5 years if not more, my wife was charged more for the same service than I was. In the past, we either unsuspectingly paid the different amounts or I (as the insured) called in to discuss and they willingly corrected their “mistake”. No harm no foul.

Today again, my wife was charged more than I was for the same service I received from them a couple months ago under the same insurance coverage.

When she questioned, she was told the services to her and me were different. The manager further disparagingly told her she will not be able to follow technicalities of the service even if he tried to explain it. When I pointed out that our services were indeed the same, they immediately stopped co-operating, stating instead, we now owe them money ... from a settled bill from two months ago, LOL! The manager refused to release her prescription and refused to engage to amicably resolve the issue. Instead, he belittled, and he threatened.

I then asked to speak with the Owner, Dr. Gerald Fisher to escalate the issue, which they refused:
- They refused to let me speak with him on the phone
- They refused my request to connect with him on the phone during his Tues/Thurs office hours.
- Instead, they required me to make an appointment which I did for Dec 3. After a while, the manager asked me to pay a Consultation Fee to speak with Dr. Fisher. That this was requested by Dr. Fisher himself when they spoke with him "a few minutes ago".

Based on my experience with Mr. Fisher over the past 5 years (which has been excellent), I really doubt he would want to be paid to address a customer / patient issue. It appears that the staff just did not want the issue to reach Mr. Fisher and so were creating serial roadblocks.

When I insisted on escalating this with Dr Fisher, the manager then gave my wife all her prescriptions and said she doesn’t have to pay for anything! In the meantime, the attending doctor made no effort to understand or to constructively mediate the issue.

If Dr. Fisher would like to set this right (not for us, but for the sake of his own practice, staff training and his other customers), I am available by phone. I am also happy to pay what is owed (which is the same fees that I paid for the same service under the same insurance coverage) but not a penny more.

There is no question of ever going back to Complete with this experience behind us now.

I would encourage each Patient families to compare their individual charges from Complete if they sought the same service under the same insurance coverage. I sincerely hope our case was an exception and a genuine oversight even with repeat incidences like we had from the past and not the norm with a larger group of patients.

I’ve been going to this practice for years, but today was a complete disappointment.

My appointment was scheduled for 10:20, but by 11:00, I was still sitting in the waiting room. I had to go to the desk to ask when I’d be seen, only to be told that all the rooms were full. The place was packed.

To make things worse, they’d already had me take my contacts out, so I could barely see. When it was finally my turn, the person at the desk told me to “follow that lady.” How am I supposed to follow someone when I’m basically blind without my contacts? Instead of pointing and expecting me to figure it out, maybe walk over and guide the person who can’t see.

Once I was taken back, the doctor came in quickly, and I was done in 15 minutes. However, I was given the same prescription and told to put my worn contacts back in. No new trial pair, despite their so-called “fitting” fee.

I’m all for seeing businesses grow, but cramming a ridiculous number of appointments into one hour is unacceptable. We all have lives, and sitting in the waiting room for 45 minutes after my scheduled time is just plain rude. Stop overbooking and respect your patients’ time!

Excellent all around. The customer service is superb, which is a welcome relief from many other businesses. I had an appointment yesterday, was seen on time, in and out quickly, everyone treating me with kindness and respect. My vision insurance is processed smoothly and seamlessly. This is how you run a business and I am lucky to have them so close. We need more businesses like this one. Kudos to the entire team and shoutout to my favorite eye doctor, Dr. Dau. Always positive, always friendly, the kind of person that inspires you to treat other people like she treats you. I believe the treatment she provides is the best as well. Great job to all at Complete Family Eye Care.
