I had gall bladder removal surgery in May 2022 with Dr. Nguyen-Minh at the Rancho Mirage Surgery Center. The Rancho Mirage Surgery Center was absolutely wonderful - their process was extremely smooth, I was able to register online which is so time efficent and helpful. I arrived at 6:15am and the facility was extremely clean and the staff efficient, caring and answering every question. My fantastic nurses pre-surgery Dianna, and post-surgery Laurel and the other surgery nurse were so caring and genuine, I felt comfortable from the moment I entered to leaving about 4 or so hours after. On the way home, we were even able to stop to get my prescriptions filled! This was the best surgery experience I have had to date. Thank you Rancho Mirage Surgery Center - your staff is fantastic!

They canceled a surgery less than 24 hours prior.

The office manager said they are experiencing staff shortage issues, therefor charts are reviewed with as little as a day in advance. Which means if they dont like what they see they will cancel your surgery. They should make reviewing charts a priority. That's the whole purpose of filling out that medical chart online, isn't it.?
Unacceptable, as a patient we have to prepare for the procedure, stop taking meds 10 days out, and other preparations.
It makes me wonder if they are short staffed what else could go wrong .

What a great staff! Friendly , knowledgeable
and professional. There was a 6 yr old little girl getting surgery, they took the time to talk to her to keep her mind off her surgery. What a awesome thing to do!!!! If you need surgery, this is the place to go!

There was only one person there that I felt was rude. I was in the recovery room and i woke up to a nurse by the name of "Patty". I had just awoken and was under heavy pain meds and anesthesia. I woke up feeling terrible and in a tremendous amount of pain and I asked the nurse for some ice chips or water, my throat was on fire and I couldn't help but cry. So the nurse brings me the ice chips and has the nerve to say a pretty snotty comment, "a please and thank you would be nice" and she walked away. In my head I still couldn't process what was going on so i didnt say anthying back. All I could think about was all the pain I felt in my throat and my ears. How could she tell that to a patient that was recovering, still being loopy from anesthesia and on heavy pain meds. As a nurse she should show some compassion and worry about how the patient is feeling especially in the state of mind I was in. How could I remember to say please and thank you upon waking up from surgery? I did thank her once I was fully awake and ready to go but that was just rude of her to say that to me. I just hope she doesn't make other patients feel that way.

I arrived early. My surgeon had a complication before me. So he was running late. The staff was wonderful from start to finish. I was surprised that they called me two days later to see how I was doing.
