I brought my 83 year old mother to the Miracle Ear store in Butler. She was treated with great respect and patience. Ms. Margie evaluated her hearing and helped her through the paperwork to order hearing aids. I was impressed with the care and amount of time taken to help my mom get hearing aids that actually helped. Big improvement in her daily activities. Tremendous thanks to the staff.

I had an amazing experience with Krista's customer service while visiting my father-in-law in Butler! Unfortunately, I left my contacts back home in Florida and was in a bit of a bind. Thankfully, Krista was there to assist me and helped me get the contacts I needed at the very last minute. She was not only professional but also incredibly kind, making the entire process so much easier for me. I can't recommend her enough—10/10 for her outstanding service! Thank you, Krista!

Myself and my family have been going to Butler Eye Care for about 18 years. Everyone has always been so patient and kind. They are always willing to help. Dr Cozza is our favorite!

I have been a patient of Butler Eye Care for as long as I remember. I hadn’t been there in a few years (had eye surgery and lapsed after that). I woke up recently with some flashes in my eye’s and a headache. I wasn’t sure what was going on so I called and the receptionist said they could see me that day. Only reason I’m giving 2 stars. I got there and did all the check in stuff. Did the eye tests and got to the room. This is when it all went down hill. I had a previous allergic reaction after an eye exam dilation, so have not had my eyes dilated in a very long time. This was never an issue before during routine exams. So Dr Jennifer McGrath opens the door, and the first thing she says is not hello, not tell me what’s going on, it’s “I have to dilate your eyes”. I explained my previous reaction to which she then proceeded to tell me that it is impossible to have an allergic reaction to the dilation drops and it must’ve been something else they did. Nope. I was there when it happened and the only thing given was the dilation. She continued to tell me that it was impossible and she wouldn’t be able to get a thorough exam and basically tried to scare me in to giving in and letting her put dilation in my eyes. I still refused. She told me my symptoms sounded like an ocular migraine and what she could see all looked fine, but I still needed to see a retinal specialist and be prepared because they would dilate me. The entire appointment she was bullying me. Telling me that I was wrong and could absolutely never have an allergic reaction to an eye dilation. After I got to the desk, the receptionist told me that she would reach out and get me scheduled with a retinal specialist. Fast forward to the next day when I was scheduled for that appointment and called in before to verify the dilation and my previous allergy. I was told by them that yes, that is in fact a true allergy and they have other things that they can use, besides what I was allergic to. So thank goodness I did not let Dr. Jennifer McGrath dilate my eyes or she would’ve put me right back into an allergic reaction. She should really do some further education and some evidence-based research. I did after my appointment with her because she made me feel so dumb, which I knew what had happened to me before. Thank goodness I am a RN, and educated enough to know I can stand up for myself and my health, whereas someone else may have fell victim to her bully tendencies. They have lost a patient after this, and it saddens me as I have always loved this practice. Not anymore.

EDITED after response: Thank you for replying. First, I never said I spoke to a receptionist. I called the retinal specialist that YOUR office set me up with, I was transferred the his care coordinator, who took my information, went and spoke to him, and then called me back. So no, I did not take the “receptionist” word for it. As far as my eye surgery, yes I was dilated, and REACTED. I never directly stated as you quoted “what if I have a retinal detachment”. I stated “what if I had a reaction on the way home?” Thus putting myself or others in danger. I do believe you are missing the point of my review, which is your wife/colleague was not listening to anything I was telling her. She kept repeating “IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO BE ALLERGIC TO DILATION MEDICATIONS”. So please clarify, is it impossible? Just because it’s rare, and you haven’t seen it, does that make it impossible? I’ve experienced it and the way she spoke to me was condescending. One should also know that a lower dose does not negate an allergic response. Had she been more willing to discuss the medication, name, alternative, etc, maybe this could’ve been settled, but again, she didn’t because she insisted an allergic reaction was IMPOSSIBLE. And I did appreciate getting in, as I stated the two stars.

I was there on a very busy Friday morning. I was called back after just a few moments. What I thought was a tech taking me back and setting me up was actually Dr. McGrath who I’ve never seen before. She was incredibly kind and personable, and I never would have guessed she was the doctor until she actually started the exam itself. I’ve been very happy with all of my visits with Dr. Cozza, and there’s no doubt I’d see Dr. McGrath again as well.

The staff of Butler Eye Care are friendly and customer-focused. I have been going there for over 20 years and would not change. Dr. Mike McGrath is the absolute best, and so is Yasmine! I have referred several of my friends to the practice.

I spent nearly $400 on a new pair of glasses but when I put them on I could see things from far away clearly however, from up close it was blurry. I asked them if they could fix it but they told me that it wouldn’t be free and that I would have to BUY a whole new pair of lenses. Like seriously? I have to pay extra money for their inaccuracy? This was a terrible experience with horrible service, now I have to wear my old glasses.
