I was seen at the Athens location. I had the choice of Americas best or here. I needed a basic eye exam to update my prescription. I was seen by an assistant, not an optometrist, and given a quick eye exam which was not thorough. I was not given an eye muscle movement exam, an external exam, tested for pupil reaction, nor a periphery exam or visual field test. The snellen test wasn't near as thorough as the ones I have had the past forty years. I assumed the doctor would come in next and complete the exam but he didn't, he was an ophthalmologist and looked in my eyes a minute and said I didn't need surgery. I asked to come back and have a thorough exam but they said I would have to pay for it. I wasn't going to pay $400 for lenses with a prescription that was not thorough or done by a doctor. I Eyemed denied an appeal because they claimed it's legal in Georgia to get a prescription exam by someone who isn't a doctor.

Genuinely a terrible experience. Make sure to ask up front what you’re paying for because they won’t bother to say and will instead just take your money. I was scheduled with them for a procedure but they had me only for an exam and took $130 from me. I would have just left and not done the appointment if they told me it was an exam but nope! Can’t be bothered to do their jobs.

They want all your information before they do anything, so if you miss your appointment they send you a bill. They sent me a bill for $25 for a missed appointment. I don't recommend even calling this place. I had an emergency, I got something in my eye at work a couldn't get it out without eye numbing drops and help. Couldn't make it there in time. So I just walked in to The Eye Center located in conyers I was in and out of there in 15 minutes.

My husband and myself have been using Georgia Opthalmology for at least 5 years. The front office staff is always prompt and courteous. Dr. Bigles always does a thorough exam and answers any questions we may have. My husband will need cataract surgery soon and we wouldn't trust anyone but Georgia Opthalmology.

Where do I begin? They got me in same day. Dr. Biglas Geigel both texted a colleague he wanted me to see and gave me his cell number if my situation changed for the worse. I was so impressed with his clinical expertise and his personal attention and care.

I like the people here but they are horribly slow. I’ve had 3 appointments in the last few months and all took 1-2 hours to be seen by the doctor. After my most recent visit waiting for an hour to see the doctor, I probably won’t be back.

My father was a patient at this practice. Unfortunately, our overall experience as a family was one of profits over people. We experienced long wait times despite a scheduled appointment time, shady billing practices, lack of detailed documentation in appointment notes, and frequent unprofessional, miscommunication with clinical and office staff. There was a complication after his cataract surgeries and the office was willing to delay care in order to optimize billable codes. I would recommend seeking care at another eye surgeon's office that is more ethical and cares about their patients.
