I had a great experience with Pathway Eye in collegedale. From the front desk to meeting with the doctor, they are amazing. It's a friendly automosphere, I am very happy with the care I received. Dr. Wiltse is very knowledgeable, and takes time to explain any concerns and question you have.

Good welcoming staff on our first appointment yesterday for me and my wife. We didn't wait but a very few minutes.
The doctor was very attentive, spent good time, asked questions, listened to our replies, and gave the helpful advice and treatment.
Thanks a lot for the glasses technician I appreciate your patience and the time you spent with us providing the information needed.

My husband and I each had one eye exam at this practice last year. Bella, who did my intake could not have been better. She was excellent. Dr. Wiltse was sitting in her office while I waited in the exam room. Another staff member came in and insisted I come look at eyeglass frames although I had stated on the way in and now again that I would not be buying glasses that day. (I was just using the provided exam I had with insurance to see if I wanted to establish with this practice.) She kept insisting I come look at their selection of frames anyway and then followed me around, hovering. Although Dr. Wiltse appears to be a knowledgeable and qualified eye doctor, I found her to be quite cold. She refused to share the results of my eye exam other than to say my eyes had "changed a little". She stated she would not share the results because I did not choose to have the contact fitting exam and I also wore contacts. (The contact exam is more expensive, would cost me out of pocket and I did not feel I needed it as I had a supply of contacts at home. Whether you wear contacts or glasses, you are under no obligation to purchase either at the practice where you have an exam.) I have never written an online review such as this before and do not respect people who get on and unprofessionally blast, and I do not trust their review. But this practice has called both my husband and me multiple times each this year trying to get us to schedule appointments. They then moved to leaving messages, such as the one I received this morning asking us to confirm appointments we didn't schedule. I finally just called and politely asked them to remove us from their call list.

Dr. Wiltse and her staff are wonderful. I’ve been seeing Dr. Wiltse for the past three years and she and her staff always take their time with me and answer all my eyecare questions. I have been very pleased with their care and have total confidence in their practice.

Sadly, i did not have a good experience with Dr Wiltse. The office staff was wonderful, kind and helpful. Dr Wiltse however was cold, curt and when she thought I wasn’t looking made exasperated faces at the other staff regarding me. I have a very difficult rx with strong prisms, progressives, near sighted, far sighted and she had no patience for the difficulty I have in getting everything lined up with the double vision. I started to cry because of her irritation and she called in another staffer to I guess protect herself. She quickly said we were done and didn’t even do an exam for the close up or mid vision for computer until I asked for it when she said we were done . She just wanted me out. I was there less than an hour. I am dealing with a lung nodule that a pet scan said was cancer with metastasis, and her cold, hateful demeanor made my experience painful, hurtful and traumatic.

The team at Pathway Eye have always gone above and beyond to help with whatever I have needed! Extra contact samples when needed….quick to respond…. Quick to work me in. Very friendly staff ( especially front desk and the gal who fitted my frames )…..
