Dr. Jason Kaplan recently done an eye surgery for me and I was very much impressed by his high standard of professionalism, great expertise and compassion. Also, his whole team (his medical assistant, technician and nurses) demonstrated the same professionalism.

Very poor communication when leaving messages. They state will call you back, but never do. They have a patient portal, but never respond to any messages. Needed emergency contacts but would not give them to me because my prescription was not up date but this was due to Delaware Ophthalmology giving me an appointment 5 months out. That was the best they could do.
Horrible scheduling here despite several offices in Delaware.
Very lax office staff. customer service lacks here.

I have been going here for 5 years. The service and staff have been great. This year I ordered contacts for the first time, paid for them, and received a call that they were ready. I go 2 days after I received the message and they’re not there. They said they were still in Wilmington and gave me samples! It was very confusing and ruined my level of trust in the office management.

This was my first visit to Delaware Ophthalmology and I was very impressed with the entire staff. They were so friendly and made me feel comfortable. All I can say is that DR. Abel is awesome. I am a nurse and I can't say that about many doctors now a days. We talked about one of my other health problems and I was so surprised when he said he would call my physician and talk to him and call be back. Sure enough that evening I get a call from Dr. Abel. Not many doctors would do that because it did not pertain to his profession. Dr. Abel is funny and has a great personality and he is not is a rush to get out of the room. It is hard to find a doctor like Dr. Abel.

I had such a wonderful experience with Dr. Barrett. Dr. Barrett was very knowledgeable and kind, I knew I made the right choice. He answered all my questions!! He was highly recommended by my Primary Care Provider and I'm happy he did! I met and was checked by Dr. Young, he also was very knowledgeable and helpful with my questions. I had appointments with 2 other doctors and I didn't feel comfortable with them. The ladies/gentlemen that greeted me and took my measurements were all so kind and understanding.

From the front desk to the nurses to Dr. Abel himself...I received the best service and care I could ask for. I had an unexpected and extremely painful eye issue. They were kind and made me feel like I had been a patient for yrs when it was my first time there. They cared for my eye and my feelings and fears. Dr. Abel is extremely knowledgeable and his humor made me enjoy my visit. I will always suggest this team as a top choice

I was in the office on Monday for a test that I needed for a problem with Phosis. The girl who did my test Corrine was excellent. She took so time to explain to me what needed to be done for the test. I was so impressed by her, she was just wonderful.
