Went to the ED today and everyone was so amazing! Zachary at the check in desk was so kind, attentive, and he moved very quickly to get me checked in. I waited less than 5 minutes and I was seen by my nurse Michelle who did a great job with intake and getting all my symptoms documented. I was also seen by a PA Amanda and she was wonderful as well. Dr Heresniak Came to see me as well and he was really sweet and kind. As a first timer in the ED riddled with anxiety, my experience at the Bayhealth Smyrna ED was absolutely painless. Thank you everyone for doing such a great job, for being compassionate, thorough with my care, and making me feel seen, heard and cared for with compassion. God bless y’all. Thank you so much for your service!

Friday morning I head to the ER for someone having a heart attack. There is no one at the reception desk, we knock on the window and door being ignored. Finally two nurses come with no sense of urgency. They need an ID advise her to take my father in and I will provide and information needed. The other nurse takes him in and she is walking very slow. The nurse at the desk makes me writer everything on a sticky note and then I has to verbally repeat everything. There is a side eye, giggling on her end and honestly beyond confused where is the humor. Once my father gets in his case had been severe and for an ER to be this slow and don’t care is beyond my comprehension.

We came here to get my Wife's arm checked out due to some tingling in her shoulder. One of the Doctors here (Short Indian Doctor) wanted My Wife to get an X-ray. But wanted her to take an Ambulance ride to get it Done! We told him that we have our own Vehicle parked outside... and we'll take that. He said... "No No No, you should take the Ambulance". My wife and I Both chuckled! Lol. We refused the Ambulance Ride! Even though we have Excellent insurance.... It Makes No sense how money Hungry these Doctors are!!! Beware!!

This place was absolutely amazing Mrs Danielle and Dr Mitchell were great ... Showed real compassion to my 80 y/o Deaf father , and I really appreciate that. Their ER etiquette was Amazing. When it comes to Bayhealth I recommend this place if you want someone to treat you who cares. Id come here any day .... THEY ARE AMAZING !!!!!!!

If I could give this facility zero stars I would. We lost our loved one due to the negligence of some of the staff at this facility.

All that needs to be shared is that if you don’t want to die before it’s your time to go, please I beg you not to seek service here. Stay away.

Took my husband here last night. Front desk was amazing, RN was amazing...PA was horrible. The wait time was great but when a Dr barely walks in the room, smirks, and crosses arms...wth? Looked at my husband's arms (from the doorway) and said what do you want me to do about it. I took him there for you to look at his arms...you are the Dr! Finally the end said he thinks it was an allergic reaction. Guess skin peeling isn't considered a possible burn?
