I've thought long on making this review only because I understand and have a little medical background. I made a visit to the Cairo ER because I was having vertigo systems again, which I had a acute episode of it 4 years ago. This time I felt like my body was going to crash. I managed to drive myself to the ER and was seen with urgency. At the same time, I was determined to be a fall hazard. Therefore I was rolled everywhere in a wheelchair. After 2 hrs, MRIs, and other test. It was determined it was vertigo. 30 mins later a doc came in and reconfirmed. However, wanted me to stay overnight to do a CAT scan for further testing and ruling out a stroke. I declined because it was unnecessary. All staff members were great, but when I stated I didn't want to stay overnight nor a CAT scan I became a number. Within 4 mins they had me sign a release form and let walk through the hospital and to my vehicle.

From my experience and understanding once you are a fall hazard you arent allowed to be walking while in their care or facility. Atleast wheelchair pushed, escorted to the door or car, or contacted a family or friend. The fact that my level of care changed because I felt a CAT scan and overnight stay wasn't warranted is unprofessional. You put yourself and i at risk.

Lastly, the cost after just being a number. I was there 3-3.5hrs. You sent my insurance company a bill for over $11k. So because of my level of care change and being overcharged I don't plan to ever visit again. The only way is the ambulance doesn't know how I feel about this Healthcare facility.

You can do better by your city, facility, and oath taken

I took a person there with a serious mental break down. They didn't know what was real, confused as to where she was. We asked if she could be put in a closed room until Dr's. Could get to her. She was told to just shut up and stop crying now you will wait longer. This is not how a mentally ill person should be treated. The pencil pushers at windows no nothing medically, nor should they be rude to people in ER who are having the worst day of their lives. I will be reporting this to hospital officials immediately. If you pencil pushers have no compassion what so ever, don't do that job ever. Your tye would be good at garbage pick up so you don't see people but be careful, you'll be mistaken for garbage. I can not believe how a mentally ill person in crisis could be treated that way. Shut up and stop crying. Really. Please go some place else, there is no compasion while you wait and they do not understand what an emergency is. I took her to different hospita where she was immediately taken care of properly. Shae on Grady

Went to the hospital to take a visit when I got there was very nice but then they started to get ugly with me. I asked them one more time. What room was my brother in and they did not want to tell me they were very very rude so I started walking around the hospital. They told me that they was gonna call the police I said call them. My brother is on his d bed and probably because he at his damn hospital.

I visited ER today because I couldn't get a appointment anywhere and was concerned that I could have covid because I was so sick. Dr come in and said that the wait was so long because people like me were there that should be at a Drs office , and trust me I tried that first. Hospital was nasty bed was even dirty and had to wait on nurse to clean it before I could set on it the board was marked Sunday and today's Tuesday. Can't wait to get the bill.

The worst I’ve ever experienced from the nature of humanity. Went in today believing to have been drugged and not only was I mocked by the nurses laughing and telling everyone that I was poisoned by a napkin the dr insinuated that I was on molly! I don’t smoke nor drink so it was very insensitive and they showed a lack of empathy and remorse for me. Where have integrity went? Where are the nurses and doctors who serve with the posture of humility They are far beyond what I will call human….

I visited the hospital in Grady County (Cairo, GA) and the quality of care was absolutely horrible. The nurses were unprofessional, uncaring, and non-observant to my health concerns. The doctor was smug, arrogant, and downright rude. This entire facility needs a sweep through. Next time I visit, I hope I do not see any of the same faces.
