There are a few things that are off putting like a small unwelcoming waiting area, not being able to join your pet for their visit, and a horrendous check-out process with machines that don’t work well— yet I will still give my highest recommendation because Dr. Walker is incredible! He is so patient with your pet and your concerns, he takes adequate time with you, he’s thorough but doesn’t try to upsell on testing that isn’t needed, his kind with his approach to care, and thoughtful with interactions with his patients and their parents. My 13 year old 6lb baby came in for her yearly vaccinations and had a terrifying reaction which led to my return early the next day with no appointment. The communication on the front end was minimal which was pretty alarming (but understandable as they weren’t sure what was going on and had to run tests and observe her). By the end Dr. Walker was going through each medication with me to make sure I had a clear understanding of how to best administer each, answered endless questions (including the questions I had after my service time ended), and even gave us a really cute and thoughtful hand drawn paper medicine bag. You can tell this man adores animals and I’m so grateful to have found this kind of care for my little old lady.

These guys are amazing!! They have been so great with taking care of my dog and dealing with me being a bit of a helicopter pet parent. The Drs truly care and the staff really make it personal even though they are a high volume clinic. Most recently my dog ate something she shouldn't have and Asia called multiple times to check in her progress, quickly answered all my questions, and helped me take care of the situation. I can't possibly be more grateful for this team of care takers.

Cat owners DO NOT go here. They will roughly handle your cat, with no history of aggression in all her 13 years, until she is peeing and vomiting on herself trying to get away from them. They made me drop off a senor kitty at 8:00am just to leave her in the cage untouched for HOURS until the afternoon. I should have been able to drop her off closer to the time they were actually going to work on her instead of leaving her stressed in a cage unnecessarily. Midtown doesn't answer the phone but they had vets who treated cats with care and compassion. My poor girl hid in the closet for 4 days she was so traumatized and we've never had anything remotely close to this experience at any of her prior vet appointments. Banfield is too worried about being a pet factory convenience line and cranking each one out after another. That's why they don't write the names on the board anymore. They don't want you to know how many pets that one doctor is speeding through in one day. The vet herself was wildly unprofessional and despite my major concerns about my cat's well-being she HIGH FIVED me at the end of the visit. Like, are you kidding me? We will NEVER be back.

This is by far the most chaotic, disorganized animal hospital I have dealt with in 10 years of working for animal hospitals and 20 years of pet ownership. My pet is having chronic issues and first, they fail to schedule an appointment that we discussed and verified multiple times, second, I show up for the appointment and have to convince them to check for a condition that they recommended testing for that aligns with the pet’s symptoms, then they check me in for a surgical procedure not having any idea of the pet’s recent medical history (within the past couple weeks) and then they emphasize that she is going to be in pain from her procedure but failed to actually send home the pain medications we paid for with her other medications. My husband and I both work hours that don’t allow us to just come by during their (varying) hours so she is probably going to have to go without her meds for a couple days. They also want us to pay money to screen her for a lethal condition that she has been vaccinated against on schedule her entire life, stating it can be chronic. It’s not (verified by research and multiple other veterinarians) and it kills dogs quickly, nevermind that she is not having the majority of the symptoms and has been having issues nearly a month now. The same day I was hung up on after holding for 10+ minutes and being put back on hold to talk to medical staff. I can excuse a few mistakes here and there (room isn’t clean, not recording what I tell them about patient symptoms, long waits, not knowing what a rabies certificate is, etc) but it’s adding up and increasing in frequency. It used to be tolerable, but it just isn’t at this point. Corporate puts way too much on these people and it highly affects their customer and patient care at every level of staffing. They get 2 stars because everyone is pretty nice, most of the time.

Update: I called back to see if they could call the meds in somewhere that I could get them today and refund or credit what we paid and they were audibly frustrated. We’ll see how they choose to (or not to) resolve this.

Thank you for seeing my baby when nobody else would touch her. She scratched her eyes until they were crazy swollen due to allergies and Banfield was the ONLY place that didn’t try to gaslight me into believing she was sick. They understood it was just allergies and took care of her. Appreciate it

i have had banfield insurance on my chiweenie for ten years of her life, no lapses. Now that she has died unexpectedly of cancer they failed to catch they are trying to either retroactively charge me more for services ive already paid for while she was alive with insurance or make us keep paying for another year of insurance on a dead dog. beware and stay away. corporate greed at its finest.
the vets here were kind as they could be but u will never use them again .

Avoid this location if you really care about your pet. We have 3 Frenchies and everytime we schedule an appointment here, it's absolutely horrible. Misdiagnoses, over charging, rude manager "Dee" and sadly they just can't get it right. The 5 star reviews are very questionable.

The absolute worst experience EVERRRR. Now the front office/techs were super sweet however the vet Amy Barnes Young is very lackluster! Unprofessional/Rude in the dictionary and would there would reside her picture. My NEW PUP whom is 11 WEEKS OLD had his first appointment today, NEVER been to the vet until TODAY. When we arrived front of the house were nice ! My pup was a bit nervous but he warmed up as he was super friendly to the individuals in the lobby who were admiring him. He went to them for rubs and enjoyed it and not once was he aggressive nor did he nip at anyone hell he doesn’t even nip at home. My pup had his visit we went back when he was almost done and waited for him in the lobby. The vet who claimed she has 30 yrs of experience did not show it when she came out to update us about our pup as she began her update with an elevated voice stating our pup was dangerous , very dangerous and he should not be around kids even eluding that he shouldn’t be in our home because we have a child and if he behaves the way he did during his visit in public that ACA would get rid of him now my wife and I are in awe because our dog does not behave how she explained now one of the techs did say it was a lot going on in the back and it was overstimulating for his first visit as for the vet who says she has 30 years of experience I would think she would understand and show compassion that this was his first time but she completely embarrassed us in front of other patients stating negative things about our pup. Her tone and approach was disgusting. I guess because we’re African American Cane Corso owners my pup is deemed dangerous at 11 weeks. It amazes me she said what she couldn’t do because he’s so dangerous but the tech was able to cut his nails with no problem. It was not comforting I do not trust her with my pup and my baby was traumatized and has not been his fun self since we got hm. I expected so much more and it sucked . You guys please RUN FAR AWAY FROM HER !
