Love bringing my daughter here it's nice when your kid experiences patient staff and not just amazing care but being cared for by a Dr who cares about making small talk about life and not just making it another day to day boring job I hope more Drs can learn that kids are kids just like her 🩵 thank you

My Doctor Melissa Brown is great. Super nice, easy to work with and she somehow remembers me and little details about my personal life that I've shared for the last 15 years of my life despite the fact that we only meet every 2 years for an exam. The office though, is impossible to reach through phone. Whether it's calling in for an appointment or ordering glasses/lenses or checking in on an order. I don't think I've ever have had them answer any of my phone calls for the last 15 years. Their office phone lines open at 8am, I'll call at 8am on the dot and still not get connected. I drive 35 mins in just to make an appointment in the office or make orders. If my doctor ever leaves, I'm going to stop continuing to go here.

I have been going here for several years for eye exams glasses and contacts . On 06/13/24 I went in for yearly eye exam. My insurance was billed then I was charged $281.00 on top of it . Then 3 months later on 09/03/24 I was mailed another bill for $54.00 on top of it . Went back over there they said they couldn’t do anything cause it was bill medical instead of as yearly eye exam . So needless to say my insurance paid them then I was charged $335.00 out of pocket. I will not be going back there anymore.

The drs themselves are great. Takes time with their patience and are personable. Calling their office is a nightmare. They hardly ever answer their phones. If by chance you do get a hold of someone, count yourself lucky. Doesn’t matter if you leave messages or not. Getting a call back is just as hard.

It was awful!! The ladies up front were very nice. The Dr however was in a big hurry. I’m thinking it’s because I have Medicaid. He never looked at my paperwork to see what my eyes were doing!!! I put on the paper that I was experiencing difficulty with night blindness. Now driving at night is just as bad as before!!! I don’t think I’ll be going back there…..EVER!!!!! Plus I can’t even wear my glasses at night when I drive because I see dots of light and it’s difficult for me to tell which are the headlights! So I’m back to wearing my old ones. It wasn’t like this 19 years ago!!! I felt so awful! Like I wasn’t good enough to be one of his patients! No Dr of any practice should make a patient feel that way!!!

I came here to get glasses. Everyone is so nice and helpful. I picked them up yesterday and couldn't be happier. I had originally had my eye exam done somewhere else but next year will just come back and do it all here. Easy, friendly experience.

Just had a bad experience. My glasses nose peice needed to be straightend and he said it was fragile, which I expected. I asked him to make them even and if it snaps then they can soder it, or I can soder it back myself and the guy refused to adjust them after I took off from work 30 mins early to make it in before they closed. The guy just said he wouldn't do it. This is not how I was treated last time after one snapped completely off. They actually helped before. Now I'm back to square one with 30 min out of my work day. I'm rather upset and disappointed in what I thought was the best optometrist in joplin. I was wrong

I love Dr. Larry. My family has seen him for nearly 30 years. Beverly is so very kind. Other doctors have seen various family members when needed if Dr. Larry wasn't in. They were also nice. I would give the docs 5/5 but I would give 0/5 on answering phone calls. This has been so frustrating over the last 5-10 years. A couple of times I had tried to call most of the work day with no alive human answering so I just drove over to order contacts, etc and the waiting room was empty and I called from the parking lot with still no live human after selecting "order contacts" or "make an appointment." No answer. You can leave a message and they will call you back most times. Today I walked in after trying to call multiple times. I was kind but asked where the phone rings in the office. 3 of the 4 staff at the front desk jerked their heads around and glared at me. I kindly told them I couldn't get a live human at the two extensions. The girl helping me after that was kind but 5-10 years of same old no answer deserves mentioning while in office. I gave them the information. Whether or not they improve the service from there is up to them. Again, Dr. Larry is awesome. ❤️
