My personal experience with the midwives at Casa Natal was an experience I did not expect. I had four of my babies at a hospital and my last baby was born at the birthing center. I've always had anxiety and stress having to go to a doctors office or being in a hospital setting.

The midwives at Casa Natal made me feel comfortable and at ease at every single appointment. They were very caring, attentive and informative with any concerns or questions that I may have had. The environment felt like going to a house to have a conversation about my pregnancy and to see how the baby was doing. The best and most important aspect of my care besides delivering my baby at the birthing center, was having all of my children involved with the prenatal care appointments. Midwives were very patient and caring with my children by answering their questions or letting them hear the baby's heartbeat. The experience surpassed my expectations. This was the best experience with the best team at Casa Natal.

There is nothing like prenatal, birth, and postpartum care with a midwife.
Each prenatal appointment is a full hour long, and she addresses each aspect of mama’s health to facilitate the healthiest pregnancy possible. Mama is free to consent or deny each prenatal test and vaccine after receiving the appropriate evidence-based information. It is the best feeling as a patient to be in charge of your own healthcare!
The birth with Casa Natal is allowed to unfold naturally and without intervention, giving mama the best chance at an empowered and trauma-free experience.
Postpartum appointments are two days, two weeks, and six weeks after the birth so that mama feels fully supported by her care providers.
Truly the best way to have a baby; I’ve done home births with Melissa/Casa Natal three times now!

After searching and searching for a Freestanding Birth Center in the Bay, my wife and I found Casa Natal Birth Center. We decided to have our son there. Since our first appointment Melisa Dean and the team at Casa Natal Birth Center have been incredible! I would highly recommend them to anyone interested in natural childbirth or someone who is looking for a more personalized approach to childbirth. Through my wife's pregnancy we felt like we had plenty of resources to ensure my wife got the care she deserved. When the day of birth came, Melissa was out of town, but had carefully selected a backup midwife who was excellent and so closely modeled Melissa's style and nature of caregiving. Thanks to everyone (including our awesome Doula, Kerri Kastle) we had a healthy baby boy on June 13th. My wife and I can't thank them enough for partnering with us and promoting a healthy, natural childbirth!!
