They didn’t tell me when I booked the eye exam that I was required to have my eyes dilated. If I had known this I would not have booked an appointment in the middle of the day. I planned on going to the visit and returning to work after. They agreed to do the regular exam without dilation but now I have to miss work again to go back for this. If I had known this was required when I made the appointment I could have planned accordingly and only had to visit once. Very frustrating!

A big operation but my experience has generally been good. My Dr. (Mertzluff) takes the time to give a good explanation of optometric matters so I can understand. A recent need for cataract surgery made me realize that you have to be clear on the outcome you want. Do not just let the professionals tell you what is best, but specify what you want your sight to be like after the surgery. Yes, it is "routine and safe" but you are stuck with the outcome for life. A complaint is that they make you pay for the surgery in its entirety a couple weeks before it is even done, taking away any leverage you might have if you are not satisfied. I would not hire a roofer or plumber under these conditions. A 50% deposit would be more reasonable. Another complaint is their "online check-in process", which is done before every appointment and repeats the same questions and asks you to "accept" long statements written by lawyers.

My husband came to this office. Everything went well. The doctor was great and the lady who helped the doctor was very nice and professional. I'm very bad at names for the woman who helped the doctor. But we saw Dr De Rojas who did an exam and wanted my husband to see someone else in the practice because of his problems. We really appreciated the fact that he took the extra step for his eye health. They wanted to see him right away but when all was said and done, the first appointment we could get that accommodated everyone's schedule was in November.

Nice facility. I had expected a bit more advanced technology. Felt a bit old school. Billing process is not what I would expect. I was charged without an invoice that showed what was charged, why, what was processed through insurance, etc. The doctor was great through. Very good at explaining everything, pleasant, listened to questions. He didn't make me feel rushed.
