I have been using the progressive glasses I got here for three years because they are so good. Both the quality of the lenses and how the progressive lens blends and the frames are light and stylish. I have not been able to find a pair of glasses as good anywhere, as I now live on the West Coast. The very nice person who helped me pick out the glasses was also so helpful 🙂

I had a disappointing experience with Chinatown Optical regarding a recent order. I placed an order for glasses on Saturday, but upon realizing the next day that I already owned a similar pair, I called to cancel. Despite contacting them within 24 hours and the insurance company not yet processing the order, I was informed that the order was non-refundable. The best they could offer was store credit.

While I understand policies are in place for a reason, I believe some flexibility—especially under such circumstances—would go a long way in ensuring customer satisfaction. This rigid policy left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied, as I now have a redundant pair of glasses that I don’t need. I hope Chinatown Optical revisits its policy to better serve customers in the future.

I accidentally stepped on my frame last night, and half of it was severely bent. After having dim sum next door, I went into the store, trying my luck to see if they would help me fix it. And sure they did! The gentleman who helped me did an excellent job and took his time to ensure my glasses were back to normal. I offered to pay for his service but they insisted it was complimentary. I didn't even buy my glasses from them.
So I will leave this review here first to thank them for their generosity. And I will definitely return when I need a new pair of glasses or contacts in the future!

I’ve been a contact wearer for 20 years and Chinatown Optical is the first place to suggest a different brand that both fits better and costs a fraction of the price. Also, order your contacts through them!! The sticker price was half the price of the online costs and not only that, the employees there gave me all the paperwork I needed and step by step directions to get an extra $200 off. Highly recommend for all optical needs.

My son’s glasses broke on Saturday night, and he needed a new pair immediately so he could do homework on Sundsy and have glasses for school on Monday.

ChinaTown Optical was the only place open on Sunday that not only had his prescription glasses ready in a few hours but had a wide selection of frames so my son was able to pick a frame that he liked - which has never been easy to do.

But Chinatown Optical took care of everything quickly so my son had his glasses, and this morning he texted me telling me he really likes them. Thank you for everything!

I plan to go back for when I need to get a new pair myself.
