I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Craft Roots, and it was an absolute revelation! As someone who is mindful of both health and the environment, this vegan restaurant exceeded all expectations.

The menu is incredibly thoughtful, offering a wide variety of plant-based dishes that are not only flavorful but packed with nutrition. Whether you're vegan, gluten-free, lactose intolerant, or simply trying to reduce your meat consumption, there's something for everyone here. The restaurant clearly understands that more people are turning to plant-based diets for their health, the environment, and ethical reasons, and they make it easy—and enjoyable—to join that movement.

The creativity in the kitchen is evident, from the vibrant salads to hearty mains, and the desserts are simply divine. I enjoyed the Loins Mane Asian-inspired salad that was light and airy and packed with flavor (if you prefer to be light on dressing just ask it on the side for better control). It was really big — after enjoying it I separated leftovers to keep crispy rice things fresh (several pictures attached). My husband loved his “chicken” lions mane burger!

Beyond the food, the Craft Roots also highlights the positive impact of a plant-based lifestyle. Knowing that my meal was contributing to better health, lower environmental impact, and a more compassionate world made the experience even more fulfilling.

I was on vacation from Texas and found this place. The only reason they are getting a 3 star review and not a 1 star is because of Ryan F. The food and margarita arrived quick. Katie however was a no show. By the time I finished my food and margarita. Katie hadn’t shown up to even offer a water or, check to see how the food was. Ryan went above and beyond, offered me water and a menu just incase I was hungry still.

Great vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options that are delicious! The buffalo cauliflower bites are a must have every time you go! The drinks are great as well with a large variety and seasonality. Usually very busy so try to reserve ahead if you don’t want a 15-30 minute wait.

Craft roots is an all vegan restaurant with plenty of gluten free options. Their pizza is delicious with a beautiful creamy cheese. I was personally not a fan of their burger but that's just me and I know a lot of people do like it. I wish they would make their own burger patties but they just use impossible meat and add seasonings.

Craft Roots offers a tasty alternative as a brewery with an extensive vegan menu. On our visit, we enjoyed the yummy hummus lavash wrap which was very fresh, with lots of colorful crunchy veggies and creamy hummus. The garden salad was also satisfying and refreshing, featuring cashew ranch, crunchy sunflower seeds, avocado, watermelon radish, and smoky, succulent grilled lion's mane strips.

They offer a variety of wood-fired pizzas, which looked and smelled amazing. Craft Roots also serves kombucha and has an impressive selection of 20 brews on tap. The service is sweet and attentive too, making it a great place to stop for a bite or meet up with friends in Morgan Hill.

Came for to-go dinner and was pleasantly surprised by the plant-based options of food. I ordered the bourbon bacon burger and buffalo cauliflower bites - both were delicious. Ambiance in the establishment is cozy, vibrant. Great local owners and very amicable staff. Free parking all around downtown.

We love going here often for their awesome sweet potato fries! BUT tonight they told us they no longer have them. What Don't know why they would take one of their best items off the menu.
At least the Buffalo cauliflower bites are still good and on the menu.
