You need to watch out, this pharmacy is in-network with our insurance, I went to pick up a antibiotic for my husband and they told me it would be $16.95, I told him my husbands out of pocket was met and should be zero, I asked if it put it through the insurance. He said he did but didn't agree with the amount they were going to pay so he backed it out and charged us cash and told me we could go to another pharmacy if I wanted. My husband is so sick and needed the antibiotics that I just paid for it. What they are doing is so wrong, they should not be contracted to take insurance if they are not going to accept it. I called my insurance company and they did say this is wrong, they can see where he put it through and then backed it out. I have filed a grievance against the pharmacy. You can't be listed as contracted with an insurance company if you don't accept it. Please watch out and don't let them rip you off. If my husband wasn't so sick I would have gone to a different pharmacy. I will never go back there, his practices with the insurance is not ethical. Don't contract with an insurance if you are not going to accept it

IGNORES YOU AND DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU: The most RUDE pharmacist I have ever talked to. Not only was he repeating the same thing like a robot instead of listening to my questions. He IGNORED my questions and, I never even got a response or answer - because then they HUNG UP the phone on me. TERRIBLE service and they don’t care about you. I hope no one has to go through this experience. Highly recommend you avoid this pharmacy.

Daytona Discount Pharmacy is an excellent pharmacy and much more concerned about their patients then a commercial pharmacy like CVS or Walgreens. My wife two sons and myself all have all of our prescriptions filled here. The owner does not cut corners when it comes to my family, he will make sure we get the highest quality medications. I suffer with a terminal illness and I am constantly hospitalized, Daytona Discount Pharmacy has on multiple occasions saved my life due to specialty medications that are rare and most pharmacies don't carry the multiple medications that I need to live a normal healthy life. I'm currently in the hospital while writing this review and have been going there for years. They call us to wish me and my family happy birthdays and are very in tune with our family and well being. They have no problem asking questions and accommodating. Just don't think your going to walk in and get treated like CVS or Walgreens they actually care about their patients so "tough love" is something that's to be expected and should be appreciated. I will not take any prescriptions to any other pharmacies even when I worked at Vogtle nuclear power plant in Georgia for several months until another hospitalization I still drove from Georgia to Florida to get my prescriptions without hesitation. It reminds me of New York nostalgia walking in and supporting a "mom and pop shop." The owner will even call me to verify while I'm working or in the hospital to check on my well being or ask me questions. Those who wrote negative reviews probably crossed a line that's clearly a right of the pharmacy that's to refuse services if deemed necessary.

I have been going to this pharmacy for about 4 years. The pharmacists there always remember my name, ask how I am, and are very friendly to me, and others I have seen.

They aren't "rude", they can be strict because they follow the laws, and expect competence from the employees. They always explain everything thoroughly to me if there are any changes, and have even ordered special items in for me (grocery/household) to make my life easier. I recommend them to everyone.

DISCRIMINATION!! HORRIBLE pharmacist who does not care about you. Go anywhere else if you want to be treated like a human being.

He Ignored my questions and I got no answers. Pharmacist DISCRIMINATES against patients!! Says he knows the DEA laws but he says he doesn’t follow them.

A pharmacist saying he DOES NOT FOLLOW THE DEA laws. Just wow. A DOCTOR prescribes a medicine and this pharmacist says he just picks and chooses which patient’s meds he wants to fill. So much DISCRIMINATION.

Pharmacists don’t prescribe, I am my doctor’s patient. This pharmacist DISCRIMAINATES AGAINST PATIENTS with certain conditions. I will be filing a complaint with the appropriate government agencies.

My husband is close to death on hospice and ran out of his prescription to keep him calm. They were supposed to deliver last night as dosage changed and hours given. So he has had no medication since yesterday and they are going to bring it when they feel like it. Has not had it all day and he is highly agitated.

My wife has told me how good Daytona Discount Pharmacy was, so when my insurance changed at work I transferred my prescriptions over. One of my prescriptions was supposed to be $225 for 90 days, but they found a coupon and the price was only $75. They have filled all my prescriptions within a day, and they are pleasant. I will always fill my prescriptions at Daytona Discount Pharmacy, and you should too.
