I asked them that I want to get a regular eye exam for contact lens and glasses. I double-checked if it is covered by my insurance, and they said yes. After the exams, they somehow charged me $49 without explaining the details on the payment. I asked her (desk staff) why I needed to pay $49, but she didn't even show me the details on it. I heard that annual eye exams are fully covered by GT insurance, so students don't need to pay for it. This place is SCAM... The STAMPS are great, but the eye center is not good. That place should be substituted with a new one with new professionals. I don't even know why I had to pay for $49...

I had an enjoyable experience with the staff that worked on the day of my appointment. Dr. Schizas was personable and explained in detail what the equipment was measuring. The front of house staff were a blast. Tameesha J. and Joel C were amazing. We had good conversation during my wait and they both were very personable and friendly. I could tell they enjoy their jobs. They made my morning.

I ordered a clear pair and dark pair of safety glasses that my company paid for and that I paid a portion. My dark pair came after 2 months of waiting and now at almost 3 months, they will not return my call. I've called 5 times in 2 days. They won't answer or return voice messages.

They gave me a wrong prescription. Upon receiving my contact lens order based on their prescribed numbers, I immediately noticed significant discomfort and vision issues in my right eye.

Suspecting an error, I compared it with my previous prescription and discovered a glaring mistake in the right eye's numbers. When I went in person to correct this, they admitted their malpractice, but wasn't willing to replace the wrong contacts. They told me they will give me a call back. It has been 9 days since, I haven't heart anything from them.

Georgia Tech Depoe Eye Center will avoid conflict and resolution of patients, when the malpractice happen.

This lack of accountability and resolution for their mistake is highly disappointing. As a healthcare facility, I expected better professionalism and responsibility in handling such situations. Patients rely on accurate prescriptions for their eye health, and avoiding conflict resolution only exacerbates the issue.

I urge the Georgia Tech Depoe Eye Center to prioritize patient care and address malpractice cases promptly and effectively. Transparency and accountability are essential in maintaining trust and ensuring positive patient experiences.

Super friendly and very professional. They made it quite easy to get a new pair of glasses. Everyone there is really knowledgeable and wants to help you out. From eye exam to insurance, they made the process smooth!

Update: I saw Dr. Brenda Schizas again for a second year, and she was incredible again! So thorough and friendly! I left my appointment in a great mood with great vision, and I will continue to go to this location as long as she works there!

I was seen at the Depoe Eye Center on the GT Campus and had a great experience. Taneesha and Joel assisted me with checkin/checkout and Dr. Schizas performed my exam. Everyone was very quick and thorough and I was in and out within 30 mins. I did not have to wait long...really at all. They were able to take me back as soon as I arrived. I have been seen here more than once and have had a great experience both times. It is a convenient location since I work at Tech and can walk over to the eye center, however, they see non faculty/staff as well.
