This office is great! I have used them for over ten years for my annual. The bad reviews are from people complicating the process and THEIR insurance failing not due to this staff, office is very friendly and professional with a great selection on frames

Had great experiences with this office until recently. Scheduled my annual appointment like normal but the morning of the appointment they called and said they were having trouble electronically filing my insurance. Gave me the option of rescheduling or paying full price up front. I rescheduled and was told they’d order me a trial pair of contacts to get me through until my rescheduled appointment that was a month out. Fast forward to the morning of rescheduled appointment. I get the same phone call with the same promise of a trail pair of contacts to get me through. I explain that never came to fruition last month and at that point I couldn’t wait another month. I go to appointment, pay up front, and leave with a fresh pair of contacts and my new prescription. The receptionist says she’ll call when insurance issue is cleared up so I can order contacts and I should receive the insurance reimbursement check within a week or two. Fast forward to two weeks later. I get the check. It’s much lower than it should be. The insurance issue was the office isn’t in my network anymore. So, I’m out that money. When I go to another office that does accept my insurance and hand them my prescription I’m told it doesn’t include contact information, only glasses. I’ve now got to go back to Dr. Scoggins office to get the contact prescription and am further delayed in my quest to order contacts. Terrible, terrible experience. Do not trust this office.

Dr. Scoggins is very thorough. The appointment went great. Everyone in my family has seen him over the years from contacts to glasses, to objects in the eyes 👀 and he's taken care of us. Thanks
