The ER waiting room have bed bugs the last pictures she my bites 2 days later. It was the dirtiest hospital I've ever been to. Staff was very nice though but I was in the ER for 12 hours 8 hours was just waiting.

Everything and everyone was PHENOMENAL! Despite the pain and discomfort I was experiencing, this visit has been the BEST experience I've ever had with a medical care team. Even the security personnel were on point and extremely helpful. This was a TOP TIER FIVE STAR EXPERIENCE!

Every person I had the pleasure to interact with was prompt, professional, courteous, knowledgeable, efficient, and caring! The technology Emory has in place to keep the patient and their loved ones informed is superb!

The entire staff flowed and functioned like a well-oiled machine that just happens to have a heart for the people they are caring for and an apparent love of what they do! Emory has its finger on the pulse of what a patient needs, and they absolutely live up to their slogan: "It is our privilege to serve you!" They exemplified the core values that they speak of and they honor each patient with the same level of respect and care. I am ECSTATIC to continue my health journey with Emory!

My adult daughter had a flair from her condition that required emergency room to include evaluation, fluids, & meds, day before New Year eve. We were there for hours going through the process to include a shortness on IV fluids. The staff was overall great. However, I want to highlight ER Nurse Kayla who when I ask her for help, she was attentive, thorough, never dropped the ball, help make things happen, and saw us through the whole process with care, compassion, & pleasantry. I wish her much success professionally and personally. I also want to recognize the intake staff member, when I approached her, she helped me understand where we were in the process, and found the nurse that was to get us transferred back for additional testing. She was vital. I do recommend if you are extremely ill, have someone with you, for the staff has allot going on, and you are too sick to try to manage what is going on procedural wise. Always be taxtful and understanding of the staff as well.. Thankful.

Our visit started off well and the nurses/doctors were having us checked for various things pretty rapidly. However it eventually slowed down tremendously after they did the preliminary work, and needed to do more intensive tasks like X-rays. I understand that there is only so much the hospital can do, but the wait times are painful and only work to make the patients more uncomfortable and more stressed, when they are already struggling. I have been waiting for over 6 hours here, most of the night, and the doctors are just continuing to do testing and haven't told me anything useful.

Having to pay for parking is also always insane to me. People are here at this multi-million dollar medical facility, where we'll probably spending over $1000 for the care, and we still get nickel and dimed.

We always dread visiting the ER. Everything from the wait times to the overall experience usually feels very strenuous. I don’t mean to criticize the quality of the nurses and doctors, who are often excellent. But everything else is typically hard on patients, especially the wait times. However, this visit was amazing. The triage nurse was extremely professional and attentive. She sent our loved one directly to a room from triage, and everything went smoothly from there. We are very appreciative and thank the doctors for making our already stressful visit—bringing a loved one in pain to the hospital—so much better. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The staff here is PHENOMENAL. I felt like I was the President, and the staff treats you as if you are the only person that matters here I swear even though they have a hospital full of people they make you feel special and treat everyone with care. I feel like the All State commercial....you're in good hands at Emory of Decatur...The old Dekalb General Hospital!

Again, another quick and thorough evaluation of my daughter's illness since we can't seem to find a regular doctor who takes Medicaid. This place is so amazing to treat people who are unable to care for
Themselves.
