Terrible. I needed a vision appointment for new glasses since mine broke. I called for a vision appointment. Without my consent they performed a medical exam on me and charged me $70 instead of a vision appointment with a $0 copay.

When I challenged them on it they just wanted to argue with me that I was wrong about everything.

They never explained why they pushed me into medical and didn’t inform me of the charge. I didn’t get seen by a medical doctor. If you’re charging a specialist fee then it needs to be an ophthalmologist an MD not an optometrist which not a MD.

Medical exams are performed my medical doctors and you are performing illegal exams against consent of patients.

I never got my glasses the one thing I needed. It was one of the worst experiences and I’m filing complaints with the state medical board for performing exams with our patient consent

You’re organization should be ashamed of yourselves

After years at the St. Augustine office under the care of Dr. Dagostino, I moved to Palatka. I have found the same great care with Dr. Stan and the staff at the office in Palatka. A top notch practice at any location.

It was trick

I was misled into accepting the service. I have eye insurance that fully covers annual eye examinations. Before making my appointment, I called the clinic to confirm whether they were within my insurance network. The receptionist assured me that they were, which led me to proceed with scheduling my eye exam. On the day of my appointment, I presented my eye insurance information and again confirmed with the receptionist that the clinic was in-network. She affirmed this and also requested my medical insurance information. Trusting this confirmation, I accepted the service, clearly stating that I was there solely for an annual eye exam and had no other eye issues.

During my visit, the assistant and the doctor asked several questions and performed an examination using some equipment. At no point did I claim that my occasional mild eye dryness was a concern, though it was noted. I was subsequently diagnosed with dry eye and was charged, but no treatment or additional service was provided for this diagnosis.

I only visited the clinic for an annual eye exam, expecting to be charged $10 as per my insurance coverage. However, I have been billed $108.33. I spoke with the receptionist about this discrepancy, but she was unable to explain it. Despite making efforts to resolve this issue, I have been unable to reach anyone who can assist me, and I have now been told that my eye insurance is not accepted by the clinic.
