I had the most pleasant and thorough eye exam I have ever had in the almost 50 years that I've been going to the eye doctor! Everyone was helpful, gracious, and very pleasant to deal with. I found myself wishing I could come back every week because I felt so well taken care of and listened to.

I came here for my yearly diabetic eye exam. The front desk staff was VERY attentive and nice and got me a quick appointment. I came to make the appt in person. At my appt today, Dr. Slotwinski explained EVERYTHING she was doing in detail, told me my options, let me see the images of the back of my eye, and was very v knowledgeable. I would rate this Doctor and clinic a 10 if Google let me. At least from my perspective! I think the lower star reviews were mostly from greater than a year ago, so things seem to have improved greatly, and they are listening to their reviewers! I rate them A++. Way to go!!

The doctor was great but the communication from the front desk is horrible. I was supposed to get a trail pair of contacts in a few days and it took several weeks and me calling to find out they came in. I liked them so I ordered the contacts and was told they would be there in 4-5 days. Three weeks later I call and they say yeah they have been here. This is the reason I quit my last eye place.

My experience here has been horrible. In Mid-June, I ordered two pairs of glasses for me and a pair for my wife. I spent over $1100, which was fine with me. Then I took a pair of old frames in and asked them to make new lenses for me, and spent another $300 or so.

Several times I took the glasses back because they weren't working for me. First, the progressive bifocal didn't work. It was FAR too narrow. I had to be looking DIRECTLY ahead. So I took them back and opted for a lined bifocal in all three sets of glasses.

I was very specific in what I wanted. One pair for computer (far range of 2-3 feet, and close range up close, with the line low because I use a 43 inch monitor for work). One pair for driving (Distant and close for instruments). One pair for everything else.

Each time I took my glasses back, they didn't get them back to me for a minimum of three weeks. One of the times, the line for my computer glasses was too high and I had to tilt my head down low to see the computer. I already have neck problems, so that's a no-go.

One time I picked up the driving glasses, and there was a spot on one of the lenses that would not come off. I left them there. Three weeks later, I was notified they were ready to pick up, and the same spot was there. The lens had not been changed, no attempt had been made to remove the spot. Three weeks after that I finally got my driving glasses back. And when I did, they were not right. I did not bother taking them back, as I give up with this place. With those glasses I can see distant just fine, but when I glance down to see the instruments, I see double, and it takes about 5-10 seconds for my eyes to adjust to that, and then when I look back up, it takes another several seconds to readjust to the upper lens. I'm better off driving without the glasses.

My computer lenses, when I took them back for the line being too high, I had also returned the other two pairs at the same time, and when I went back 3 weeks later (as soon as they called me), I picked up two pairs, and the computer pair - the pair I would use the most - was still there, with the lines that I DREW ON THEM where I needed the line - and had NOT BEEN SENT BACK TO THE LAB TO BE REDONE. THREE WEEKS THEY HAD MY GLASSES, AND DID NOTHING WITH THEM! They didn't call me, to tell me that the lab wanted them to double check what I wanted. They did not send them to the lab. They just sat on them for three MORE weeks. When I picked up the other two pairs, they confirmed that the line I drew was where I wanted the line, and that the Rx was correct, which is what I had told them three weeks prior.

When I did finally get that pair back, they are correct, and they are the only pair that I will actually use because the other two pairs suck.

Computer glasses - good. Finally. Mid-December, when they were purchased in mid-June.
Driving glasses - see double when I use the lower part of the bifocal. This is what I got in December after buying in June.
Everything else glasses - using them for more than a few minutes, my eyes hurt. This pair I finally got in mid-December, after taking the frames in to get new lenses made, either in late June or early July.

Absolutely will not go back. Wasted over $1000. I am completely disgusted.

Eye Site Oakwood has been my eye doctor for a couple years now and they have always done a great job! Front desk, Claudia is so sweet and helpful and doctors, both Swofford and Slotwinski have given me great exams and explained the process thoroughly!! Highly recommend.

We love this place fast, informative and Dr Jennifer was great with children! Lady at receptionist desk is very helpful and polite. Although this year we were scheduled with Dr Swofford and I am not pleased as to the way he spoke to my children! Making a 7yr old cry with his rude and unnecessary comments is in my opinion VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! I understand kids are not the easiest patients but if you can’t deal with them please don’t schedule them!
