Appointment is scheduled for 1:30.
Arrive at 1:25 and check in.
At 1:55 (30 minutes later) we are seen by the first assistant.
Brought into a room for a 2 minute procedure and have to go wait out front again for an exam room to open.
Wait another 10 minutes out front (Now 2:10 for our 1:30 appointment).
Called into the exam room where we wait another 10 minutes. (Now 2:20 for our 1:30 appointment)
At this point I start a timer on my phone and decide that I am walking out if it gets to 2:30, as one hour for a scheduled appointment is too much.
2:25 we are seen by the doctor and our out of the office by 2:30.
In total we were seen by employees for about 5 total minutes, but spent almost a full hour waiting.
While we waited, one other customer came in for their 2:00 appointment. When we left at 2:30 they had still not been seen.
Similar thing happened on a prior visit so this is not just a one-off.

Friendliness: 2/5
Every interaction with and employee felt cold. No greetings, no casual conversation. Just ushered into a room.
Front desk employee barley addressed us, just asked if we were and said we were checked in.
At one point while waiting the same employee addressed another coworker with attitude saying "I can't focus on two things at once, you'll have to wait".
I'm not arguing that said employee can't focus on two things at once, just that perhaps they should keep that kind of sass to themself while customers are waiting in the lobby.
A little warmness towards customers would really go a long way here. You really don't notice it until it's not there.

They have a sign encouraging customers to leave reviews on Google Maps.
Every review I see currently has a response from the owner so I expect this review will garner a heartfelt response.
I also want to make clear that there was nothing wrong with the services we received. The doctor was professional and did a great job with our exam.
I understand that sometimes things get busy and we fall behind schedule, but if it is normal for customers to wait 30-40 minutes after their scheduled appointment time, then maybe things need to change.

I loved my first visit with Eyes of Cleveland! They have awesome technology that I’ve never experienced at the eye doctor before. The doctor and staff were all so sweet. They had a great selection of glasses too! We will definitely be recommending them to our family and friends.

My husband, myself and our children recently moved to the area from out of state. We were in search of a new family eye doctor that would meet our expectations. Our experience at this clinic exceeded our expectations. This clinic is very clean and the staff are friendly and professional. Dr. Muegge was knowledgeable and made me, as well as, my husband and children feel comfortable and informed. We felt that our examine was thorough.Their products are of great quality and affordable. It was so nice to make an appointment for a specific time and to be seen promptly at the scheduled time. Eyes of Cleveland’s staff showed such professionalism and care. I felt so comfortable and the staff was genuinely concerned about my issues!! Thank you for making this a great experience!!

This office is nothing like you’ve experienced- state of the art equipment and a Doc that actually takes his time AND answers your questions! What a concept! Reasonable pricing even without insurance. So glad they opened shop in Cleveland. My wife and I will be back every year to keep our eyes healthy. Highly recommend!

Staff members were friendly, they have a pretty good selection of eye glasses, and the doctor was kind and thorough. I do however have an issue with them performing extra things that they knew would not be covered by my insurance without previous warning. Instead, I was surprised when checking out that I owed $102.00 for the “wellness” portion and the “contact fitting”. The contact fitting consisted of me putting a trial pair in and then doing the part of the eye exam where they shine the bright light and look at your optic nerve. So, a regular part of the eye exam, with the exception that I was wearing the contacts he requested I put in. Sad to say that will be my 1st and last appointment with the facility. If it had of just been disclosed prior to my exam, I would have respectfully declined that portion and went on with my day. The only thing I am not certain about is if that information was on my intake forms the text me to fill out. There were so many click and signs that it is possible. Still a conversation that should be had. Oh, well….

I was truly so impressed! Eye exams have always been something I’ve done out of obligation but never enjoyed. Just a box I checked because I had to. From the moment I walked in Eyes of Cleveland, I was blown away. The staff was so kind & knowledge. My provider was amazing and took so much time to answer questions & explain himself. I am so looking forward to going back next year! I never knew eye exams could be such a pleasant and truly fun experience.

The Eyes of Cleveland staff were absolutely wonderful! Everyone was very kind and welcoming, which is a breath of fresh air compared to other offices in Cleveland. Dr Muegge was very thorough and knowledgeable. The woman who handles getting your glasses ordered was absolutely precious and explained everything in great detail! I highly recommend this office!!
