Ordered a pair of glasses on 5/21. When they came in I went to pick them up. There was no prescription in the right lens at all. So they sent them back. When they came back, I went to pick them up. The young lady sitting at the front desk went and got them. She walked around to the front of the desk and gave me the glasses. I have never picked up a pair of glasses without being sat down and having them checked for fit and prescription. Mind you, I'm 68 years old so I've had numerous pairs of glasses over the years. I wasn't given any eyeglass cleaner because they were out. Funny that when I first went to pick out my glasses another lady was told the same thing. When I got notification from Medicare on how much they paid towards my glasses I was a bit confused, I had paid $450 out of pocket. So I called Family Eyecare just to make sure I was billed correctly. It was determined that I had been charged $15 too much. Was supposed to get a refund of that amount. I just called them for the 4th time since then and they have nothing on record that I had a credit coming to me. I won't be back and I do not recommend this business.

The folks here are all awesome. They helped me out with a set of contacts when I wasn't even their patient. Everyone was so nice and helpful. I've been considering getting a place near the lake. At least I know now that if I do I will be going here for all my eye care needs. Thank you all so much.

We moved to the lake area from Northern Iowa and needed a new eye care doctor that is really good especially since I have double vision etc. I was recommended here by my son-in-law. My first appointment went great, the doctor was amazing, she was able to get a better prescription for me as well. I chose the replacement care package that gives you replacement glasses in case you damaged yours. I've never damaged mine before but I thought with a granddaughter being 2, I better. Well I needed it within a week. I stopped in on a Saturday and showed the girl working my glasses and she said she'd let the Monday ladies know to order a pair and they'd call me to confirm. No one called, and I forgot. They ordered lenses only, so I told Ashley who called me I needed the frame too. She got upset with me instantly and said I should have told the girl that. I did and she even looked them over. She said I don't think we can order them now, you get a one time reorder. I told her no one explained that to me. She put me on hold, came back and said ok we'll order you another pair this time but that's it. She wanted me to come in and have them put the lenses in that did come in. When I went in Ashley said we are not ordering the new frame unless you pay 25% of the cost of the frame.
I'm DONE! Very shady business! Horrible and fake girl this Ashley is.
I need 2-3 pair of glasses/sunglasses, however, I have my prescription I'll buy mine elsewhere for now on.

I have been using Family Eyecare for around 4 years as of 2024. I have never had a negative experience. The doctors are great, the tech's really nice, and the opticians are super friendly and helpful. Ashley, in all of my years of wearing glasses is the only optician that has said, "those don't really work for you." I like that kind of honesty. I mean, all I want is to be less ugly and she really helps me out. Stephanie is a card. Always fun to have her assist with my fitting. I wish I knew Family Eyecare's other optician's name, but she rocks too. If a fix is required, she's the go-to person. I highly recommend Family Eyecare. The team is the epitome of customer satisfaction.

They DO NOT value their customer’s time. It took 2 months to schedule the appointment. After I arrived, I waited 30 minutes then asked about the lateness. They THEN told me the doctor was running behind and I could wait or they would reschedule. When I pushed about how long I would have to wait as I had to get back to work within a reasonable time, one of the five workers visiting at the front counter said “ she has two people in front of you so it could be an additional 45 minutes”!!! They should have told me this before I wasted 30 minutes there, or better yet, called me to inform me of the busy day. Instead the receptionist was rude and condescending telling me her “hands were tied” and that I should “have a nice day” in a very flippant manner. Don’t know about the medical care, but the office management and customer service is nonexistent.

They started canceling your appointment if you don't call them and confirm. Look, if we made the appointment, we'll either be there or call to cancel. Stop wasting our time making us play phone tag with you. I don't care for this business tactic. Going elsewhere.
