After visiting many eyeglass stores, I finally found the best one—French Optical! They have one of the best optometrists in New York City and an incredibly skilled optician who truly knows everything about eyewear.

I have a low nose bridge, which makes finding well-fitting glasses difficult, but the optician carefully selected the perfect pair for me. He patiently adjusted them until they fit flawlessly, never giving up and always offering a warm smile. His dedication and attention to detail made the experience exceptional.

From now on, I’ll be a loyal customer of French Optical. Thank you for the outstanding service!

They have a great selection of glasses but it’s the service that makes the difference. I brought in a pair of glasses that needed lenses. The small staff treated me so well. They gave me tons of info and made me feel like I was a VIP. After I made my order, I got regular text updates and reminders. When I picked up the glasses, they made adjustments and really went out of their way to address all of my needs. These people are AWESOME. The owner/manager should be proud of his amazing staff. I HIGHLY recommend this store. You’ll feel like a million bucks. (And will look fabulous!)

I can not say enough good things about French optical and my entire experience. It was the most thorough and professional eye exam I have ever had. The optometrist took extra time to explain to me what has been changing with my vision and some ways I can be proactive to keep my eyes in good shape, I would recommend them to anyone.

Then there was the staff, so professional, knowledgeable and courteous. I communicated to them my budget and they never tried to upsell me or push anything unnecessary to me. The staff was so friendly I ended up spending extra time there just chatting and trying on way to many pairs, to which I felt a bit bad but they never showed any signs of frustration, but only seemed to want me to find a pair of specs that I would be truly happy with. Not only did I get a new pair but had my current pair updated with new lenses.

Support local business especially in NYC!!! I will go back for ever!

Thank you for being a wonderful NYC business as we are loosing all of the small shops I grew up with it is great to not have to go to a big chain and support my fellow New Yorkers!

A truly excellent optician that’s responsive and is always looking to make things work. For the quality of lenses and frames, the prices are reasonable, and the quality of technical work (centering, cutting, adjustments) are all fantastic. Highly recommended.
