Update Nov 2024:
Hooray! GOPALI has recently moved to 659 Central Avenue into a bigger store and sound bath room in the back! Congratulations to the owner Alex.

Previous post: I put together a south bath gathering at my apartment and it was such a nice experience! I actually zoned out listening to all the layers of sounds. Everyone who attended enjoyed it too!

The shop is colorful and filled with instruments, clothes, jewelry, gifts, etc. Weeks ago, I got a singing bowl & colorful hand held fan for myself and a drum as a gift. The owner Alex Gopali and his son Pra are friendly and knowledgeable. I highly suggest a sound bath! He can do group sound baths about 7pm at your place if you are in the downtown area. Otherwise, you can have group/private sessions at the cozy, inviting studio too. Thanks Alex!

Love this place and should have posted a while ago. Always bring out of towners (and locals). Great authentic items including huge collection of singing bowls. He also does both private and group "singing bowl" sessions. Always super helpful and usually the owner is there to help with any questions. Can't really call them staff. Only issue is it can be a little difficult to find. Actually "off" Central. Need to find what looks like an alleyway (Crispin Arcade) on the north side of Central about halfway up the 600 block. Well worth finding.

They didn't have what I wanted, which is totally fine. They use to have them, but now it's not something people are looking for usually, except online. The shop was quaint and was laid out very well. The owner was very nice and informed me that I'd probably find what I wanted online. I told him I was just hopeful, I like to avoid online if I can. If you read the description & look at the images posted, you can see what is available in the store.
