This is the worst ER experience I've ever had. My aging father fell, was left for hours after being told he'd need stitches.

They attempted to put him back in his soiled bed, left him in a room for hours with feces (his own) in the portable toilet. No one ever came to check his bleeding head wound or check on him. They did come in once after I went to the nurses station to tell them that he kept bleeding through his bandages, but never came back at all to check.

As far as I can tell, the ER was not busy and every time I went to the nurses station, the same "patient care technician" who was supposedly assigned to my father, was sitting at her desk, so was clearly not "caring" for other patients. This person was not caring or compassionate AT ALL and even tried to talk back to me when I pointed out that she had not been to check on him as he had requested.

When we were finally checked out, no one escorted us out, my aging parents (one with a head wound and both with canes) had to walk out on their own.

Shame on you, Gulf Breeze Hospital. You call yourself the only "Five Star Hospital" in the area. Maybe Five Stars of Garbage.
Five Stars of treating people like garbage.

Do not Do not go the this ER. Didn't want to go back to this ER my last visit was absolutely horrible. My son cut his fingers pretty deep and I was just getting off an 15hr shift and I live about 3min away. No one to be seen around beside my son and I know one in the parking lot. So why? Sat in room for an hour and a half nothing. Wow, for no one to show up and just tell me if we needed stitches or not. But when we exit the ER room. Plenty of staff eating , playing on there phones. As I exit I ask the nurse where do I find the door's. She didn't say a word and could care less horrible care givers. I'll feel bad for people alone there. Do better guy's.

My husband is a hospice patient. He was transported to Baptist Gulf Breeze ER on 8/27 around 12PM to have a minor procedure done in the ER. Due to my husband needing to be transported via EMS his wait in the ER to return home was extensive. This couldn't be helped. I called at 6:30PM and spoke with Mike the nurse asking when transport was expected. He said 30 minutes. I said great but could you tell me if he has eaten since arriving this morning. Mike, very unsympatheticly, said, " Nope but he's leaving soon." We hung up.
At 8:30 my husband was still not home so I called the ER again. Tony answered and was extremely rude and showed blatant disregard for his patient.... my husband. Because he was so rude I ask to speak with someone that could help. He said, "Sure. Here!" Nurse Mike got on the phone and was just as rude. I was simply asking them to get him food. He hadn't eaten in over 12 hours. Mike said, very rudely, "Sure, we'll get him a box." and hung up.
My husband is dying. I'm home with five children. He has to be transported because of his illness. I will never ask that he be sent back to this hospital again. MIKE and TONY, I hope that you never find yourself in my situation. But if you do... I pray you and your family are cared for better than the two of you cared for my husband today.

If I could give zero stars I would. My dad has been a Dr with the Baptist healthcare system for over 40 years. His picture is even hanging on the wall in this hospital. Yesterday he had a cycling accident, and had to be taken to the hospital. He had fallen pretty hard on the side of his chest, was in respiratory distress, and thought he may have a pneumothorax, which can be life threatening. He reported this upon arrival and was told to sit down in the waiting room. After 15 minutes he began to hyperventilate, so my mom went up to the 3 triage nurses who were just chit chatting, and asked if someone could please take his vitals. They told her they were too busy (with their conversation I guess). My parents, who are both in their 70’s, decided to leave. My mom had to wheel my dad out in a wheelchair and put him in the car by herself. They drove to the medical park ER in Pensacola, and were in and out in less than an hour. Thankfully he did not have a Pneumothorax, just broken ribs and a bruised lung. But GB Hospital was just going to let him sit there hyperventilating despite reporting a potentially life threatening condition. If he had died, I can tell you our family would own that hospital.

I’m sure Baptist will be glad to know that despite his injury, he plans to be back at work on Monday, serving dutifully as Medical Director at one of their other facilities, even though he received zero care when he needed it. All I can say is he is a way better person than me.

The most amazing staff of professionals I have ever had the pleasure to meet. Dr. Peoples is very thorough and caring doctor.
And the nurses are second to none. Tracey in ICU is the most knowledgeable and caring nurse I have ever experienced.

I recently had surgery at Gulf Breeze Hospital and was truly impressed by the incredible care and compassion shown by the staff. From the initial pre-op procedures ( admin, labs, cardio) to the day of the surgery, every team member demonstrated professionalism and kindness. Although I can't recall my nurse's name, her exceptional care was memorable. She took the time to explain everything thoroughly and respected my privacy with great sensitivity. The OR Nurse exhibited genuine warmth, and even the Anesthesiologist was friendly and reassuring before administering anesthesia. Their commitment to their roles was evident, and I am sincerely thankful for their exceptional care. I express my heartfelt gratitude for upholding values of respect, compassion, and providing exceptional healthcare services.

I've had 7 different surgeries in 6 different places. This by far was the nicest experience I've ever had. Nursing and support staff were so attentive and helpful. Doctor was compassionate and skilled. I would absolutely recommend this hospital to anyone having surgery. It made it the best possible experience despite having a complicated and painful surgery.
