01/18/2025 (10:43 AM) - Walked In hoping to be seen for poison ivy reaction. I was Refused to be seen and was rejected care. Lady up front was very nice and professional. Nothing against the staff, but I was just hoping to be seen since it’s only 10AM… I was ready to wait if needed, and was refused because I didn’t call before walking in. So much for WALK IN clinic.

Gwinnett Clinic - Unacceptable Billing Practices and Rude Staff

I'm extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Gwinnett Clinic on Philip Blvd. I arrived for my appointment with Dr. Shah, who is the owner, only to be surprised with a $24 bill from over a year ago. I had absolutely no prior knowledge of this charge and was denied service until I paid it. Despite explaining that I needed time to contact my insurance and verify the legitimacy of the bill, they refused to accommodate me. This feels like a clear violation of my patient rights.

To make matters worse, the two women at the front desk were incredibly rude and dismissive, not only to me but also to other patients I observed in the waiting area. It's disheartening that a healthcare facility would prioritize collecting a small, questionable fee over providing necessary medical care, especially with such poor customer service.

I urge anyone considering Gwinnett Clinic to be aware of their questionable billing practices and unprofessional staff. I will be taking further action to address this situation, including filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

So today I had a MRI of my back with contrast at Gwinnett Medical Clinic The first part of my test went wonderful, no problem.
Next the tech injected me with contrast, and I went back in the tube.
After 15-20 min the test was complete I stood up, and looked down as did the tech to see blood dripping from my arm, which apparently didn’t seal off when she pulled out the syringe earlier and therefore I had bled out from the IV tube on the table for 20 minutes what a mess! The gown and shorts were soaked as was the sheet. I was a little lightheaded i should have ask her to take me to the ER to give me my blood back.

I then went to change and disgard my gown and the xray shorts without instruction for biohazzard disposal or cleanup etc. I watched the tech use the dirty bloody sheet and alchol wipe to wipe the xray table. I hoped she had disinfectant cleaner. I was dismissed to leave which I did and drove home. I have eaten some food and have been resting.

I thought about this today and called back to the clinic, Im awaiting a call back from the Owner/Physcian of clinic after being told by the office manager she wasnt made aware of my incident and was not sure what protocols they had for this in place?

Disposal of blood and biohazzards and Disinfecting contaminated surfaces are highly regulated for safety.

If it had been a longer test it would really not been good! After giving blood the blood bank provides you something sweet to drink and watches over you for 30 min.

Lesson learned for anyone who read my rant ask if the IV needle has a cap on it after being injected and if the IV is sealed when they pull the syringe out.

Highly concerned at lack of concern regarding this incident.
