I give 2 stars because when I initially went in, the cop at the front and the workers helping me were above and beyond and super sweet! They had me thinking the experience would be pleasant. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I received a “speeding” ticket a few months ago with a mandatory court date for today. I arrived, when called to speak with them I was told it would be an obscene amount of money. I explained that I felt as though I did not speed and I was not understanding how the cops laser (which is not recommended for use during raining weather which it was) detected my car specifically in the traffic. The cop told me there was no traffic and I was the only one on the road (not true) and then checked medium traffic on the ticket. The cop also never introduced himself or anything, walked right up to my window and said “who’s been drinking” to me, the 3 adults and the toddler in my car. I responded “the toddler” because I genuinely thought he was joking around and was just joking back. I didn’t know why I got pulled over initially. I assumed maybe a taillight I was unaware of? I explained this to the lady at the court. She told me to speak to the defense attorney, I did so.. but not before standing and waiting while he talked about his personal life with another co worker while ignoring me for 10 minutes… he then gave me the most half ass answer possible and told me to plead not guilty and sign a waiver. Didn’t explain what the waiver was for? Or anything So I went back to the counter and another lady “helped me” and I told her what he said. I was confused and trying to ask her for clarification so I did not do something wrong that will negatively effect me later, she was RUDE. I even called her out for it and she said “no I’m just being matter of fact with you” uh, no ma’am. You’re not. You’re being rude. Disrespectful & unprofessional. I had such a good day and was thinking I would come in and get this settled and explained to me but instead I was BELITTLED and disrespected. Kelly was clearly having a bad day with the way she spoke to me and it truthfully ruined my entire day. I went in so sweet and ready to get it handled and spoke as kindly as I could until that lady who clearly hates her job decided to speak and treat me the way she did… I feel like I need to voice my experience here so anyone else dealing with officer Patterson or Kelly know what they are going to get into beforehand… everyone else though, very nice. Very sweet. Very helpful. I didn’t expect much out of the criminal attorney as he was just there for bare minimum advice, he was nice other than the long wait while he was chatting it up about non work related things.

I was cited a ticket for DUI and trespassing by Gainesville police of Hall county. I was denied my rights to a court appointed lawyer. I've been at the Hall County Court House for the past 4 weeks trying to correct my legal name on my court case: DUI ticket, and trespassing. The arresting agency Gainesville, Hall County Police and Jail put my legal name wrong in the system during my intake. The ticket cited to me by a Gainesville Police officer wrote down a wrong name & had claimed that I posted my driver's license as bail when I had a bonding agency my family paid for. The police report I attained the following week of my arrest doesn't even have a detailed report of the incidents that occurred during my arrest.

Be prepared to have your time wasted. This court’s information is outdated and the clerks are extremely delayed in filing. You, as a citizen, who has no knowledge of updated procedures or requirements, will be put at fault for their disorganization.

Judge Breakfield treated me extremely fair, he is a very just and fair judge. My attorney Blake Skipper is the best in town, i recommend anyone to request him as your attorney he will go above and beyond for your needs.

Good luck trying to get ANY help whatsoever. These folks are cold, uncaring, and very slow. They've got you over a barrel & make sure to take full advantage of that leverage! Gross.

Crooks, but some people will give you the information needed to get these people. One of the clerks told me alot of info on how to hold them accountable. Ask for a servants surety bond, and if they are insured. If they ate not insured they cannot conduct business with you, if they do, they loose qualified immunity. They will.bring the police but stand tpur ground they prevent you from getting public records, you can sue everyone involved. And tou can record in the Courthouse, just not in the court rooms (but they have cameras in there, if you know the laws, they cannot touch you, if they do. Big check)

Public service employees, rarely get the credit they deserve. Granted there are are some agencies and employees that need a revamp, but not here in Hall County. In every office I have dealt with since relocating to the area have went above and beyond. Especially Tina with the Clerk of Courts office. She made promises to do some research and call back. She did just that AND without an attitude.
