Space Coasts best hospital and staff! Plus, epic views from hospital rooms of the gorgeous Banana Lagoon. I love seeing dolphins on their morning routines! ICU took great care of my sister, the only thing I'd change is how quickly she was released to Kindred Hospital; On top of the fact my sister did not get the treatment she needed while at Kindred, actually the exact opposite -she even coded!!! Thank God she is no longer at Kindred and back at a real hospital.

My recent stay at Cape Canaveral Hospital was outstanding. The Doctors and nurses made sure i was happy and safe during my stay. The Nurses from the ER to the ICU and beyond went above and beyond to making sure i understand everything that was going on. I wish i could remember everyone of their names cause each one treated my like family. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the outstanding job everyone did.

I had the most positive experience at this ER yesterday. I was in and out, Dr Walker and his team were the best. They made me feel taken care of and they were thorough in their treatment plan, very methodical and caring.

I don't understand the negative reviews. I had a laceration on my hand and within 20 minutes of the time I entered the building I was leaving after being stitched up and taken care of. Not often in a direct customer facing job that it feels like the people helping you feel like they genuinely care about you, but today I felt that way. Thank you Dr. Chao and thank you to the rest of the staff as well!

I used to love this hospital as the views are beautiful & it's so close to my parents house. However after my recent stay, I will never go back. I have Stage IV colon cancer & I'm lucky I made it out of there alive. Starting with hours in the freezing ER with no blanket, no pillow, no meds while suffering from jaundice due to a blocked bile duct. It literally felt like a prison. To then being put on the cardiac floor (I wasn't there for a cardiac issue) & having to share a tiny room with someone who had defecated all over herself because no one was caring for her. My family moved me to the waiting room because it was clean, had a private bathroom, & more room for us "THE WAITING ROOM"! The nurses on the 2nd floor treated my family horribly often ignoring them or speaking down to them. My meds were always given to me hours behind schedule. I hardly ever saw an actual doctor. I was discharged too early & ended up back there via ambulance vomiting blood. My 2nd roommate on the 2nd floor also had Stage IV cancer. We were both whaling in pain because we were not given our scheduled meds & my husband actually to assist my roommate as there were never nurses around to help her with her needs. I was then discharged a 2nd time (too early). My legs & feet were so swollen I could barely walk, my pain was still 7/10, and they still had not made sure I could handle food. I was NPO almost the entire time, but they kept bringing food to my room. Thank God my family paid attention & did not allow me to eat it. When I was told I was being discharged & explained I had not eaten yet to ensure I could keep it down, they removed NPO & brought up a plate of pasta with red sauce & a side of pineapple as my first meal when it should have been broth. I could go on & on about all of the horrible things that happened. My outside providers were all appalled at the care I received. The new hospital on Merritt Island can't open soon enough!! I will be going to Viera from now on.

Worst hospital I have ever dealt with!! Took my father there in March for a broken leg. They did surgery and then he had complications & died 8 days later. Some of the complications were from poor decisions from the medical team taking care of him!! He had a few nurses that were exceptional but had quite a few that were a nightmare. So rude to me and my family!! Not even basic care of oral care/ bath was provided to him. They never let him sleep the entire time he was there. Would come & wake him up every 30-60 minutes all night long, every night!! I have nightmares of the 8 days that I was there with him.Cried everyday because of hospital staff. I am a nurse & was always willing to help, but then felt like they didn’t do their job & expected me to do it. One nurse handed me the sheets & said I could change his bed. Before I flew home I met with administration & the hospital administrator was less than kind. Didn’t really seem interested in what we had gone through!!

Then my widowed mother 2 1/2 months later had an issue with a ruptured varicose vein. She was taken to. Ape Canaveral and they didn’t even address the vein issue. Worked her up for why she fainted when she lost almost 1000cc of blood from the ruptured vein and sent her home. And gave her fluid she didn’t need when she has congestive heart failure. 6 days later had another huge bleed from the same ruptured vein. Went back & they put a stitch on it, again did not fix the problem & sent her home. And charted that she had a puncture wound so a vascular surgeon wouldn’t see her with that diagnosis. Never checked her hemoglobin & a few days later, when she was feeling horrible, found out she had a hemoglobin of 7.2. Then her primary care took her off of her diuretic & she almost died she was so ill. I was done with Cape Canaveral Hospital. I flew here from Oklahoma to meet her at Orlando Regional Medical Center. What a difference. BEST hospital ever!! She has gotten amazing care!!
Stay away from Cape Canaveral hospital if you want your elderly family to live & if you want to be treated with respect & actually get good care!!

Thank you to nurse Allie and Dr Chao for taking care of my husband today! We were seen immediately and treated with respect. I highly recommend this hospital and specifically the staff we spoke with today. It makes the experience much smoother when the customer service is top tier.

I had a horrible experience here. None of the nurses or doctors listened to me or my concerns and I could’ve been seriously harmed because of their neglect. I came to the ER for an urgent medical situation and no one acted quickly or even acted like I was there. It took the doctor over 24 hours to see me and once he did he was extremely brief, rude, and cut me off in the middle of my sentence. I ended up having to file a complaint with the patient advocate, and when I did I had a nurse come into my room to basically try to make me feel bad about doing so. She made very rude and insensitive comments about my medical situation. The only good part of my experience were some of the nurses and the techs, but overall it was a horrible experience and I would not recommend this hospital to anyone. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.
