I believe that my sweet Australian Shepherd, Georgia Peach, started out at your shelter. Well, she started out in a nice lady's yard, then landed with you. A friend in Vermont (Where I was living) gets Facebook posts from shelters all over the country and reposted one from your shelter. I fell in love with the little 4-month old blue Merle Aussie. That was 12.5 years ago on January 15, 2012. She has been the best dog ever. She is very well trained (by me!☺️) and learned everything so very quickly because she is so very smart . She will be 13 in September! I've included a couple of photos.

Thank you so much. She is a service/support dog and she has enhanced and enriched my life and soul more than I can express.

They will not be in office or take phone calls even within the very limited hours they are open. Not sure why they will close early and do not even have it posted that they altered the hours.

Kyli helped me re-home two dogs .. she seemed to really love the animals there ..I felt a lot better about leaving the dogs

The staff was super, easy going, and they made it effortless to adopt.. The animals are well cared for. I advocate for more funds to come their way in order to have more pens and an exercise arena for the dogs. We have had many dogs throughout our family life and we want to express how loving and fun these 2 dogs are. They enjoy their crates and love being in our home. We are so grateful to the Heard County Animal Shelter and their professional staff.
