Hobe Sound Scrub Preserve is a fantastic, out of the way public park on the outskirts of town. The park is relatively new and well kept, because of that every part of it is crisp and tidy - from the rail fencing that surrounds the parking lot, to the fitness course, to the coquina-lined main trail.

Speaking of trails, there are a couple that wind throughout the park. One of which is topped with a generous layer of coquina hard packed enough to support an off-road wheelchair, baby carriage or wagon. This trail includes a mild incline from the trailhead. The other loop is steeper and made almost entirely of fine, white sugar sand. Therefore, expect just a bit of a challenge if you're not too sure-footed.

Still, the trails provide a generally quick and easy constitutional for most folks and can be completed in under an hour. They provide some nice views of the surrounding area and a great way to enjoy the indigenous, natural beauty of the region. It's definitely worth a visit if you're a local.

Beautiful neighborhood park with exercise stations and short loop trail. Google the history of Hobe Sound and walk this historical hill top to appreciate where the early settlers have been. Only thing lacking is trail direction signage , so keep your bearings even though no chance to truly get lost.

I never imagined Hobe Sound could get any better than it was the last time I was here. But with the addition of the opening of this preserve to the public, I now have yet one more reason to keep coming back. The trails are wide, with nice sandy or shell rock surfaces that are easy to walk. The natural ups and downs of this large sand dune along with it’s trees provide a good bit of shade from the afternoon sun. My dog and I thoroughly enjoyed our little hike there today and we’ll definitely be coming back again.

Joined my friend Vera for a meditative walk ,and did not realize, how far back it goes came across some unusual Driftwood formations and something that looked like cotton balls only to find out it's Reindeer moss- almost needed the name to be a little bit more Florida.
Very interesting not much wildlife causes a lot of dogs walking and barking so there's no very few birds. Still a nice spot.

A nice little preserve with a clean wide walking path. My granddaughter and I had a nice time there.
