I got a great pair of Ray Ban glasses with progressive and transition lenses, but they are awful. They were horribly crooked and the woman didn't pay the slightest attention to how the fit on my face/ears. She made a "blind" attempt to adjust them, the same adjustment several times, to no avail. I finally gave up and now I'm stuck with these super expensive ill-fitting glasses until next year when my insurance allowance is good again. I will not go back here. They were nice people, but they don't fit the glasses to your face.

It had been a couple of years since I had an eye exam, so I was thrilled to know there were better options than dilation now! It was so easy and their imaging detects diseases I had not been screened for yet! The girls in the office were so nice and helpful - they helped me pick out cool frames! Dr, Sheldon was so thorough and took his time with the exam. I feel confident nothing will get by him!

Dr. Sheldon, Rebecca, and Patrick were all great! It was very easy to schedule an appointment over the phone and fill out the necessary forms through the website. Everyone walked me through each step of both the medical and financial aspects of my visit which was very reassuring. I was given exact quotes and timelines for new frames and lenses and was out of there within an hour. Worth the long drive from the Upper Keys!

This was my vision center when I lived in Marathon a few years ago. I am back in Marathon again and my metal frames broke. I went back to this office to seek help and here is what happened.

I was told there was nothing that could be done to repair my glasses and that the lenses wouldn't fit any other frame as the lenses were only cut for the frames I had. It was suggested that perhaps I get a new pair and some $700 because my "lenses are very expensive." Of course that was not an option at this time for me. The Dr put some scotch tape on my frames and I left. I was also shammed for not having a back up pair.

Upon suggestion I tried a jeweler to see if my frames could be soldered which did not work. The jeweler sent me to another eyeglass office.

I walked in and explained my situation. The woman said, "these things happen all the time. Let me see what I can do." She took my glasses and went through her frame inventory and found a pair of frames that fit perfectly. She then told me not to worry and she would check with my insurance and call me back for the cost.

I now had new frames and learned that indeed there are different frames that worked for my lenses although the other dr didn't even try.

Needless to say I will be going to the office who helped me rather than my old office.

Sometimes it pays to go out of your way to help someone in a desperate situation.

I want to make clear that the office staff was amazing and had nothing to do with the situation with the Dr encounter but I still go to the new office who helped me.

UPDATE: The new optical shop ran my insurance and new glasses for me with the same lenses and transitions will cost $209 for a complete pair.

I am so impressed the way that this business is Ran. I called on a Monday and was able to get in for a vision test on Tuesday, I was shocked it usually takes a couple of weeks. Their show room is extremely clean very well set up an excellent selection of frames. The doctor did an amazing job on my eyes, took his time explained what he was doing and allowed me to ask questions. This is by far the best optometrist experience that I’ve had in my 67 years.

They saved me! On vacation in the Keys and my Silhouette glasses frame broke. Stopped in first thing Monday morning with not much hope. Rebecca at the front desk greeted me warmly and fixed the glasses with a spare bridge they had in less than half an hour! Fantastic service and friendly! Thank you!!!
