They try to sell you on some alternative to the eye dilation test that is not included in the original eye exam and costs extra money. When I declined it the doctor was extremely rough with my eyelids and made the dilation process extremely painful, more than I’ve ever experienced anywhere else. And at the end he says you should do the other test next time, much less painful.

When I came home and told my partner about this experience, he literally was like wait did you go to “Jacob Nachum or something” and I was like yeah!! And apparently he also had the same awful painful experience with him over a year ago and never went back.

On top of that they lied to me about my original contacts being discontinued and to try a different one. When I went home I checked and my original contacts were available everywhere online (I think they didn’t have my contact brand and pretended it was discontinued so I would buy from them).

So then when I tried to call them to give me my contact prescription they had a bad attitude and made it more difficult by saying they don’t email and you have to pick it up in person.

Also for my eye exam, I showed up on time and had to wait 30 minutes to be seen for my eye exam.

I have been seeing Dr. Nachum for many years. Although, I do not work in the area anymore... I still take my happy behind on the train to go to his office 😆.

Dr. Nachum is thorough, take his time, know what he is talking about, and very clean. He is consistent, polite, and kind.

I have no problem with his staff nor the other services he provides.... in terms of glasses.

Dr. Nachum and his staff are both kind and welcoming. Wait time was minimal and Dr. Nachum took his time with our appointment, answering any questions I had and providing detailed insight.

I have been visiting Dr. Nachum since 2021. He is punctual, professional, and thorough. And his office staff is very capable - no insurance mistakes, appointment issues, or concerns at all. Truly five stars.

The doctor is thorough, but they do not include pupillary distance in the prescription unless you buy glasses from them. In my past experience with Warby Parker, they included this information regardless of me buying glasses from them or not.

Like the doctor, but I was scammed on the price of lenses for sunglasses. Ridiculous. Total rip off. It's not that I was not told the cost of the glasses. The glasses I received which cost me $566 look like $50 glasses. The cost of the lenses, $495, are not reflected in what I received. I'll bring them back and show them to you. Thank you.

No one ever answers my calls. I call every week, I write emails, but I have no idea when my contact lens arrive or follow up with any questions. Dr. Nachum seems to be very knowledgeable but that is not the only thing it takes to run a functional office. It's been over a month and I have no idea whether my contact lens order is fulfilled. Last time I called the person who picked up the phone had no idea how to find out whether my order was placed in the first place. Horribly unorganized and unresponsive. Not coming back once I complete my order.
