I am disabled and in a wheelchair and once again I am beyond impressed with the customer service. This time I went to pickup glasses and get a final fitting. Every time I have to deal directly with this eye clinic is a great experience. They are knowledgeable and extremely friendly. I got both far sightness and optical nerve damage in one eye caused by multiple sclerosis. They have the equipment and training to track the nerve damage of a rare condition. So I highly recommend them for both general vision needs as well as rare conditions.

Was pleased with initial visit, follow-up is awful. Was given different/wrong (per a specialist) info from staff and the Dr. refuses to talk to patients on the phone. Guess $$ is more important than patient care. After 3 months I still do not have the contacts the Dr. told me I would get. Also, 3 of the trial contacts tore "in my eyes". Had to request my files to find another Dr. 🙁

I have been a patient of Dr. Verkaik since 2002. She is an amazing Dr. However, the office lost a provider at the beginning of the year and she is seeing both sets of patients leaving her patient in the wind. My annual appointment is scheduled for October. I called a month and a half earlier and was told the next available is March over 6 months away. Unacceptable. Why not see you own patients and refer the other doctors to a new practice.

I have been going to Dr Gatson and Dr Verkaik for over 30 years and have always been very satisfied with their services and the professionalism of the staff. Having only 1 good eye, I need special care, and I always get it. I am especially thankful for Mitzie who always helps me with frame selections and adjustments as needed. I am very confident that I am getting the best care and treatment available. Thank you, Central Florida Eye, for always being there for me!

I look forward to going every year! The physicians are attentive and great about remembering you and your details. Very personable, with great “bedside manner.” The staff is knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. I’ve been going there over 5 years. Excellent office!
