If I could give negative stars I would, I’ve been in this county since September 1s I applied and supposedly was approved for expedited help. Well that was in the first week of the month to this day the 1st day of the following month I’ve yet to receive the card. I call and leave my information on a daily basis where they claim to return the call between 24-48 hours. That’s complete BS. Now after this hurricane has come the tiny amounts of food I did have is now completely gone.

Was supposed to get an appointment on the 13th at 1:30, I waited for hours No one called, for me to call them and they say they are dealing with someone elses case which is fine i understand. Then to get a letter in the mail stating i missed my appointment how If no one called.

There’s no point calling to get any information. They tell you different information every time you call and take absolutely no accountability for their actions. And that’s all IF they even answer the phone. Half the time I’m sent to voicemail or put straight on hold for 45+ minutes. Their training is sorry.

I did an application in September 20th never got a call. Then I did another one on Oct 18 in I’m still waiting on a call. I tried to get emergency snaps , they told me I had to wait on the food stamp office to call me! (I couldn’t get emergency stamps) I have 4 kids to feed & I’m struggling to do that because they don’t want to do no work

Having to speak with someone and no one wanting to listen. Of course one may feel someone is going to address them with attitude and so forth. I have repeatedly stated everything is set up nowadays on whom you know. Met a very nice woman on the other end of the line named Mrs. Tequila Royal. Have spoken to her several times and don’t know her at all but I did remember her name. She is very good at her job and you may tell she is a team player and willing to help in any way she may and always a positive attitude. There are not many whom are even professional as such and I want to say a big thank you to her and know she will continue to have positive feedback because she’s awesome!!!!

I have to take the time to say DCFS really did a big turnaround from the last time I posted. A young lady by the name of Tequila Royal has been making her mark at this place. She truly have the patience and superb customer service to deal with the public. I know not everyone is friendly on the phone. However she's about getting results. When I got on the phone I had so much anxiety. I'm disabled and I really needed help. She told me to relax and she wasn't getting off the phone until everything is handled. And I have to say, she took care of everything. My anxiety went away. We need more people like her! If I was in front of her I would give her a hug! God bless and thank you Tequila again!

So I must say, I definitely have had an bad experience before at this DFCS, but NOT this time, The new receptionist TEQUILA ROYAL is very professional and she helped solve my problem very fast. She went over and beyond for me. She definitely needs to become an case worker one day!
