One of the most helpful doctor's offices I've been to in my life. They fit me in on short notice. They were so kind and helpful. I had an expired insurance card and they were nice enough to look up my current insurance and even printed me a new copy of it. I had to commute here on short notice and I will probably never use another optometrist again. This place was amazing.

Great experience! Every staff member was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. My eye exam was thorough, painless, and quick. Dr. Engleman and the other physicians gave me useful information when they shared my exam results, and they answered all of my questions. Checking in and checking out was simple and fast. Parking is plentiful and it is an easy-to-find location. Highly recommend!

Dr Jacob Thomas is great! He has taken such good care of my husband and father-in-law! My optometrist who is not affiliated with Mattax Neu Prater referred me to him! I am trusting him to perform my upcoming cataract surgeries later this month. It is a comfort to know he is so well respected and he is so kind! I give him 5 Stars!!!!

I'm not a normal case so I'm very selective about who I trust my eyes to and I trust Dr. Mattax 100%. He's been my doctor for 20 or so years and even though my insurance would cover other doctors, I won't switch as my eyesight it too important to trust to anyone else. He performed surgery on me that went perfectly! I would also like to shout out Dr. Neu as I had to have eye surgery under his care and it went perfectly, also. I also love the treatment received from everyone at Mattax Neu Prater. Highly recommend!

We have been seeing Dr. Prater for several years.
His office and staff are superb!
Each person is professional, pleasant, and top notch. It was refreshing to see staff without blue hair, nose rings, and tacky looking tattoos....and yes, I have observed that in our hospitals and clinics. While navigating through the system, you are escorted to where you need to go next, called by name and made to feel as if you matter. Having recently been in the surgery suite, I can assure you that each nurse, tech, and CRNA that I met treated me as if I was family. The front desk workers, the surgery scheduler, and the pre-op staff are excellent, as well. Dr. Prater's knowledge, talent, and expertise can't be beat!
