I have never seen a staff so incompetent in all my life. This hospital ER is always empty. And it's not because they do a good job. They treat everyone like they're an inconvenience and they do less than the minimum. Go out to Joplin and tell them your McCune Broken Hospital horror story. We couldn't even get patient right information. And our nurse Angie was literslly crazy, unstable and combative.

Recently visited this ER with a traumatic hand injury from a table saw. Check-in people nice but, while still in significant pain, and bleeding, put into a very back room and forgotten. Had to go get help and ice to control pain. Staff were milling around in the hall (NOT busy) and appeared to all stop for a mass lunch break, even dragging chairs from other rooms into the hall. After doctor finally appeared (two hours), he ordered a presumed nursing student to clean up the wound (without anesthesia). I refused and the doctor begrudgingly gave Lidocaine shots, making sure to forcefully jab into joints to cause the most pain. Rude and dismissive Dr. Glover was unconcerned with my pain and appeared to falsify the records of his involvement and communications we never had. I have had similar injuries in the past and KNOW the procedure. Cleaning was improper, sutures were a joke and left exposed tissue from inside the thumb, protruding outside the stitches. Thumb would not heal, 3 rounds of oral antibiotics and found to have a staff infection from poor hospital wound handling. Could not remove sutures for 20 days due to unstoppable infection. At 28 days wound ruptured open and found a piece of the work glove I was wearing at the time of the injury, STITCHED-UP INSIDE THE THUMB! NEVER go to this or any Mercy facility. Communication with administrators afterwards was not helpful and eventually resulted in a message that they would not accept future communications from me.

This is the worse hospital I ever went too..most non caring and smart mouth ppl working there..very rude ...aweful place to go... I would never go their again or take any of my family there...just horrible!!!
