Have had decent luck with this place the past few years, but when I went to pick something up today it was closed. Reading other review comments, it sounds like the owner had a sudden accident that put them in the ICU, and the business is currently closed. My thoughts go out to the family; hope to see an update posted here or on the front door of the building in the next couple weeks.

James and the team have no clue what they are doing. Was quoted $70 and told I wouldn’t be charged for anything until I picked up my dry cleaning. Dropped off on Thursday and picked up Tuesday of the following week

Two days after the drop off I was charged $55 and after I was assured by the employee (James) that wouldn’t happen.

Fast forward to Tuesday, I arrive to pick up my things. Two of items aren’t ready and the new total is now $86 instead of the original $70 that was quoted. This place is an absolute joke and I will not be returning here. I wouldn’t trust them with your clothes either. Fellow Deland residents you’ve been warned.

I ask them to dry clean a suit and press the down the jacket. I showed the young man working at front desk what I would like to have done. When I went back 3 days later it wasn't done properly. When I pointed out the young man argued it was done. I took a picture of what they said was pressed. I ask him call the owner. Then he decided he charge suit as two separate pieces after he already gave me price for suit. I asked to have the owner call me and never heard from anyone.

I usually come here not often but I needed to drop some items to be cleaned and sadly ? it was close went to the reviews read what happened and I'm very sorry my prayers go out to the family. It was a very good place

I’ve never left less than a 5 star review on Google but after the fiasco at Mitchell Cleaners…This was my first time using them and it will be my last. After being told my laundry would be ready by Friday morning for a funeral weekend for our family I arrived to find that one of our pieces wasn’t ready. What the young man (the same one who had told me it would be ready Friday morning or possibly even Thursday) didn’t tell me was that they couldn’t find the piece. Again we needed these items for a funeral the next day. I came back Friday afternoon (I tried to call first but the phone system doesn’t work properly either). When I arrived late afternoon on Friday I was told they gave our piece of clothing to another customer and that customer’s wife would be bringing it back to them that day. I asked them to deliver it to my house by 7 PM as we needed it for the next day. He said no problem we will deliver it and he had my cell. As this convo was happening the owner walked in, noticed our chat but did not involve herself to help. (Her help would have been appreciated) No delivery was made to our house. No call was made to me. They just dropped the ball and didn’t care. I went in on Monday or Tuesday and asked for the item. It was there but not even bagged yet. Same young man asked if I wanted it bagged…yes it’s clean laundry.‍♀️ I told him how frustrated I was and that I would like some kind of refund for the poor customer service and the time I wasted over a very difficult weekend for our family as I made two extra trips to their company as a result of their error and lack of good customer service. He said I would need to speak to the owner/manager. I said yes please have her call me. She hasn’t called yet and all of this was the first week of January.
I only used Mitchell because a friend of mine had supported them when they were trying to keep their sign atop their building. My family shops local and supports local and has for the last 25 years in West Volusia. We will not be back to Mitchell. And as a professional in the sales/customer service industry I would still welcome a call from the owner. This is NOT the way to serve.
Again, this is my first 1 star review EVER. And to think it could have been a 5 with a little effort, an apology and the desire to go above and beyond.

Excellent service and friendly staff! The girl whom I dropped my order off with was friendly and efficient. I dropped off two of my husbands suits on Thursday-one that I needed by Friday and the other could be returned to me at their convenience which I was told would be ready Monday. Not only did they accommodate my rush order but the next day when I picked up they had completed BOTH suits and they didn’t even charge me the extra for the rush order which I initially was quoted an additional $5 per piece-which I would have happily paid for as they were accommodating my last minute needs. But how considerate. That’s the type of service that acquires repeat customers. Not to mention the suits look great. And I love they text when your order is ready. We will bring all our dry cleaning needs here.

We were signed up for their laundry delivery service. It was supposed to be drop off and pick up twice a week. They missed a day often, would change our days without telling us so our laundry would sit out all day and not even get picked up, or sometimes they'd show up at crazy times like10p and our laundry sat out all night. We constantly got things that weren't ours and things that were ours went missing. Sometimes they didn't show up for a week or two. When we complained, they canceled our service and kept our clothes. We had to go to them and demand they find our clothes and give them back.

We had their laundry service and at first it was great, such a big help not having to worry about washing drying and folding laundry.
Recently they changed our pickup/drop off date without telling us, didn't call or email when they had billing issues and then chose to cancel our service without any contact claiming they left us a letter stapled to the last drop of of cloths 2 weeks no contact at all. I called in and nobody could tell me anything, it wasn't till I went in personally that they claim they left a note 2 weeks ago....

The pickup dude hated coming to our house and pickup up the cloths because of sand or dirt on the bags, pickup times were usually 5ish then stayed not being until 930-10pm. It's not my fault the cloths say our for a day in Florida weather. I had my cloth dropped off in the rain where they could be rained on. The people just stopped caring.
