I recently moved from suburbs of Chicago, so I know the medical field is different in the south. I arrived at the Crystal River office & was pleasantly pleased with the reception when I got there, very nice & genuine, I waited maybe for 5 min until I was called back for my appointment. The nurse was lovely and friendly, very easy to talk to. I met Dr. Danclar, who I instantly felt comfortable with and confidant in my visit. Highly recommend him, he takes his time, he jokes with you, just a great experience. Checkout proceed was equally as pleasant with a young girl & she was very helpful & informative regarding where to schedule blood work & radiology appointment. Impressed and very happy with my visit. KUDOS to this practice!

Wish zero stars. Kind of a long review. many items left out but shorten it up, worth the read.

Crystal River Location. Where to start 1st, they get you in to see Doc Savage as a new patient, wonderful doc. After that, throw you off to multiple NP’s because Savage is mainly administrative. Okay. Husband is a heart patient yet the NPs start prescribing all kinds of meds, which the cardiologist took him off of.

Good luck with anyone answering the phone. Sometimes, have to call multiple times for a day or 2 to get anyone to answer. You would think with all the staff, someone could pick up the phone. Most calls are forwarded to the answering service. I actually left a message with them and got a call back to my surprise.

This location can’t keep any employees and we are passed around to new doctors and NPs. I called and talked to someone in detail to set up a new doctor office visit for my husband since the last doctor and NPs left. They had a new Dr. “D”. Great, explained in about a 10 min call the concerns and wanted to establish him as a new patient WITH A DOCTOR. Explained his heart condition, all the meds he was given and wanted to start over.

They canceled the appointment weeks later because the doc was not in that day. They also scheduled that appointment in error for lab work, AFTER SPEAKING TO SOMEONE FOR 10+ MINS IN DETAIL WHAT WAS NEEDED. He saw Doc D but husband moved on to PEDIM. Loves the place so far.

Now my turn. I finally find a med to sleep without side effects, Quviviq, started over 6-9 months ago. This office administrator kept telling me the LAW is a refill every 3 months. I called a couple pharmacies and was told the law is a refill every 6 months. I called the admin back and she starts quoting the law again until I called her out. Then she reverts to saying that is “their” office policy. Could not fight it so agreed to every 3 months and scheduled an appointment.

3 months later (today), saw the new Dr D and things went well at first. He never heard of Quviviq. He excused himself to talk the "administrator". He came back and said “SHE” said I would need to be seen every 30 days for this refill, seriously? Told him that’s not going to happen and said I need to talk to her.

She enters the room stating that it’s up to the provider how the refills work and since this was a new doctor, he wanted to refill every 30 days. Well, he says she said and she said he said, which one is it?

Let them know I’m not going to come in every 30 days (guessing that's how they make money more money) to get a refill that I’ve been taking for some time. Let them know I haven’t slept in 30 years and it’s not going to be pretty if they come between me and my sleep. They are messing with my life.

Told them how it’s going to be, leave it at a every 3 months or we or done. Yet again, the doc still said he can refill in 30 days. Got up, said we are done, walked out and told them to bill me.

Yet, I'm sure there are plenty of new patients to take my place, the best of luck!

Simple put, this place sucks. I had Dr. Nash whom I thought was good. Then they put me with Dr. Savage which I found to be unacceptable for a variety of reasons that I will not list here. Twice on one week I left a message with the answering service, and twice that week I got no answer. Two weeks later after an hour of calling them and no one answering, I went down there with an empty medical vile and asked two questions: 1) Can you assign me someone other than Dr. Savage and 2) can you get this perscription filled? I had Dr. Savage fill it AFTER I told him that since I was dead back in 2020 for 31 minutes, I need to watch medicines that affect my kidneys. And of course the one he gave me negatively did just that. So I threw them out and needed the right perscription filled. And of couse they never called back. I am leaving this place becuase it sucks. No one answers the phone and no one returns calls to say nothing of the overkill on the part of Dr. Savage. All I can say is find another primary care doctor and maybe I'll see you there.

Nature coast Healthcare inverness office. Office staff completely have no idea what they are doing. I had a new patient packet sent to my home. I filled it out..and returned it in person...the girl at the desk asked me to sit and wait so she could enter my information. I waited 1 hour!! Because she was the only person in at the time taking calls and trying to do my new patient packet. She finally called me up to the desk. And advised my info was entered and she then scheduled me an appointment for 05 / 23

I got a call this morning 05/21 telling me I had an appointment..but they didn't have my new patient packet!!

This is not a good way to start as a patient at a new dr office. Very inept people working.i will advise everyone I know to never use this provider. Unreal.
Keep in mind..you can't get an appointment until you have turned in papers...

I had an appointment..where did my packet go

Update: I would NEVER recommend this clinic to anyone. I really really like my doctor. However, customer service is terrible. My provider wrote the wrong billing code for my lab work. Therefore, my insurance company denied the claim. That was 9 months ago. My lab work bill was sent to collections. I constantly call the Inverness office to fix their code error and have it resubmitted to insurance. The office manager is supposed to be taking care of it, but I cannot get anyone to call me back regarding what is going on. In the meantime, I have urgent health issues that need to be taken care of, and I can't get lab work done. The only answer I receive is, it will be taken care of. I cannot wait to switch to a different office. You can see my original review of this clinic 9 months ago. However, unfortunately I would never want anyone to go through what I'm currently experiencing, due to an error on their part. If I could afford my lab bill, I would just pay it and move on. But I can't, and it is obvious that they don't care about the struggle. My suggestion would be to go elsewhere!

Nature Coast is amazing! Janet was very compassionate and took the time to listen to all of my concerns. Her nurse was also very nice and attentive. The front desk staff were all very kind as well. Highly recommend this clinic!

No complaints of any sort. This place gets better and better each visit. Astounding medical staff, ethics are beyond reproach, I want to visit even when I’m perfectly well, lol.
Update: They’ve dropped the ball a couple of times with prescriptions, but mainly my fault for not checking the actual paper script to be ok. Try to stick to the electronic method if you can, heavy duty meds you can’t do electronically but check with the pharmacy before driving.Update 04/10/2024: Every single administration staff member has been replaced, I do not recognize anyone! Its like a scene from The Twilight Zone. But that's just me.

I just called the Crystal River office to get an appointment today because I am experiencing high blood pressure. I was told by the receptionist that I was no longer a patient there because my doctor which is Dr. Nash was no longer with this practice and I was told that I received a letter in January of this year stating that I was no longer a patient there. I did not receive any notice of no longer a patient because the Dr I was seeing with this practice.
. I don’t know how practice can just willingly throw away their patient. What’s happened to hypocritical oath to do no harm.

Dr. McNerney (sp?) is a good doctor. But the office staff and the manager need some serious help. No communication, they seem like they don't know what they are doing/talking about, very unprofessional, very rude. Over a month after getting testing we have to call to get results because the results were "in a pile" OOPS. I've been in healthcare for over 18 years now, and what I've seen from this office staff is a DISGRACE to patient care. If you want to be rude to people and act like you don't care.............. get out of healthcare!
