I find the staff extremely nice and I can’t say enough about Dr Maher. He is extremely thorough when examining your eyes.

Dr. Fanous is a great Doctor. He is very professional and friendly and he focuses on eye health. He has a fabulous sense of humor, and a great staff. They are always very kind. He is one of the doctors that I actually look forward to seeing. He is outstanding in his field

I remembered Dr Fanous from when I brought a friend many yrs ago, so when I was told I needed a specialist he was the first person I thought of. He was extremely kind and thorough with my exam. I feel safe with my eye care in his hands.

I am more than pleased with Dr. Maher. He is very patient with me and very thorough. I do have to say that the waiting time is very long, however, he is only in Chiefland once a week, the wait is worth it! If Dr. Maher didn't have a office near me I wouldn't be able to get treated.
I would most definitely refer Dr. Maher to anyone needing a Opthamologist.

Dr Fanous and his entire staff are very good, and caring people. They answered all my questions concerning my condition, and explained, very clearly, what I can do to improve my outlook. This is a great improvement over what I experienced at Dr Mames-Retna Center, Gainesville office. Both he, and his staff are clearly more concerned about their bottom line, than they are about me, and my condition. Dr Mames seems to enjoy his ridiculous antics, and staff, including the office manager, Kim, go along with him. I am pIeased I chose North Florida Eye Center. Thank you Dr Fanous, and the good people who work with you.

It's a convenient place in Chiefland to get on going eye care. The students assigned to Dr Fanous are friendly, courteous and accommodating. The office is very welcoming especially if you are first time patient.

I went too see Dr in Chiefland. Very nice man. I need surgery. But I also need a sonagram on my bad eye. My insurance was not accepted where they referred me. I called they put my chart on his desk. That was 2 weeks ago. I have heard nothing from them. What am I sopose to do? I have to have a referral. How hard is this going to be. I could of all ready had it done and be recouping.

Dr. Maher Fanous is a specialist in his field. He and his staff have your best interests in mind. Social distancing, temperature checks upon arrival, masks are being worn by all.
The office, restrooms, and exam rooms are very clean. If having an eye exam can be a great experience, then I had a great experience. Even if they do poke and probe my eyes. They make me feel at ease, even with my high anxiety. I feel like I am in the best of hands and trust this Eye Center with my eyes and glaucoma..
