I ordered glasses last week. All went very well. Then I received a text message that my glasses were ready. So today I went to pick them up, and after waiting a while for someone to help me, I saw a sign that said "Take a number". I took my number, which was 46. I then noted that the current number on the screen was 39. After waiting for 15 minutes, the number on the screen was still 39. I interrupted a saleswoman to say that I just needed to pick up my glasses, and she asked me to take a number. I said that I had done that, and if I had to wait for 6 people who were there to buy glasses, try them on, and so on, I could be standing there for an hour or more just waiting for someone to hand me my glasses. She said "I'm only one person, not a superhero, and I'm doing what I can." I said "Of course. I'm not blaming you, it's just that the organization sucks." In many years as a satisfied Costco customer, this is the very first time I felt that the management is completely out of touch with the needs of customers. Even if the Optical Department is understaffed, it takes only 2 minutes or so for a salesperson to hand a customer their glasses while another customer is trying on different frames and so on. Most customers are there to buy and try on glasses; to ask people who have already gone through that and are now only needing to pick them up, to wait until the others are completely finished carries the implication that Costco management has little regard for their customers' time and other responsibilities. I hope this is not true..

Had a little bit of a wait but Dora was very knowledgeable in helping me choose sunglasses as well as a second pair of regular glasses. She even cleaned and fixed a bent hinge on my existing glasses. 5*

Got very lucky and had no wait on a Thursday mid-afternoon. Reba checked out my existing frames, helped me look for something similar, and finding nothing, decide that my frames were most likely in good enough shape to have new lenses put in them. She was helpful, patient and thorough. I can't imagine better.

I made an appointment and called on my way to let them know I was running behind, and they told me they had a ten min cutoff. I called again while parking in the lot outside exactly ten min past the appointment time and they said don’t bother coming in. Ridiculous hard cutoff policy.

My friend who lives in Santa Cruz just went to Emily Kook. Ms. Kook told her she had macular degeneration & the 'bad' kind. Refered her to a specialist. Well, guess what MISDIAGNOSIS!! She has no degeneration & her eyes are perfectly healthy. The stress my friend went through thinking she was going blind was life altering. Do not use this 'quack'!

I get my glasses there. They are good qualify and a great pence. They have good service .i have take. My glasses back for adjustments and they do it right away no problem.
