Consultation excellent including all examinations. Surgery went smoothly, surgeon & staff incredibly attentive & helpful. My vision 6 weeks post operation is excellent close up; reading but unfortunately distance is not great resulting in a prescription lens for glasses to wear for driving & watching TV.
I have been assured that a laser treatment will follow shortly to rectify this in the hope that I no longer need spectacles which is the result I was expecting. I am currently under the aftercare team to achieve this.

Having gone private for my wife's cataract surgery, (as the NHS waiting list in Wales was far too long,) we wondered if we were doing the right thing. We needn't have worried as she got an appointment for surgery 2 weeks after her initial consultation. Everyone at Optical Express were unbelievably professional & her surgery & aftercare was second to none. My wife was very apprehensive about the surgery & really quite scared, but she actually said she never felt a thing. I would just like to say thank you to everyone at Optical Express for their caring & professional attitude. Brilliant work everyone.

I am so pleased I had my cataracts done. I feel more independent now that my sight has greatly improved. I was a bit nervous to begin with but was made to feel relaxed as the receptionists and nurses are lovely and friendly. There was tea, coffee and snacks for whenever you wanted them. What can I say about the surgeon, well he was wonderful, friendly and explained everything about the surgery and put me at my ease. It was a bit uncomfortable the first night but I look painkillers and by the following morning I was fine and sailed through the recovery. I have just been for my follow-up check and was told I now have 20/20 vision. Thank you to Optical Express and the staff at Bridgewater Wellness Clinic Manchester. A special thanks to my surgeon Mr Huba Kiss.

I had LASEK surgery. I would give 5 stars if I had been warned just how severe the next day pain could be. Don’t be alarmed if you’re in pure agony! Far vision is great, waiting for my close vision to catch up now!

As always fantastic care and service. I had my eyes lasered 2 years ago and the result were fantastic to be able to do every day things without glasses has had such a positive impact on my life. I came back to the Chester Branch headed up by Ann for my eye test and again their friendliness and care is what keeps me coming back. Thank you ladies

Staff were pleasent at my 1st appointment very helpful and polite. Unfortunately they didn't provide me with the correct details which were later given to me in a appointment with the surgeon. They missed out important documents and information. Due to information given to me at a later date I chose to cancel the surgery as they said I was high risk. They acknowledged the issue but are attempting to keep some of the deposit. After multiple calls they keep saying they'll look into it but still not heard anything. I wouldn't recommend optical Express to anyone. No such thing as customer service.

I am writing this review after receiving laser eye surgery with Optical Express. All initial and follow up consultation was conducted by the the Chester branch, where the service was professional and clear, and was informed at all stages. Following my consultations I received the surgery at the Liverpool branch, again was greeted with a professional knowledgable experience. The whole surgery process was quick and efficient being complete start to finish within 1hour 30minutes.
Aftercare appointment were made at my convenience and information was available as needed. I would recommend the experience to anyone looking to have the treatment done.
