Making an Appt 2 weeks before and getting there too be told the insurance they have on file is inactive and telling them why not tell us before getting there wasting our time on going. We do have an insurance but there out of network. Please make sure you all ask if you all are good too go before getting there very unprofessional, with no care in the world.

Optical Reflections- Brownsville, optometrist is friendly & thorough. Receptionist is friendly, Robert who helps select frames is super helpful, knowledgeable & helped me with selections & keeping track of costs. But BE AWARE….if you use your card…. 3.75% charge added on. I took cash.

The best out of every place I researched, and I researched them all! They were the only place that turned out to have everything I was looking for..answered the call, could get an eye appointment quickly, full insurance coverage, some of the best prices on lenses,and frames, (i compared all the ones that took the insurance)plenty of selection for frames, everyone was really nice.,they took their time getting everything that I wanted, the perfect lens, great fit on glasses, extra checks on the perfect progressive lens for my eyes. I have no complaints. And I checked every place in town and I mean literally. I hope all the effort I put in can help someone else.

Today I received the best customer service at Optical Reflections. After accidently breaking my glasses, I had to get a replacement asap. I had called around and was able to receive an appointment for the following day. Once there, I did not have a long wait,  although there were some customers ahead of me.  The optometrist, Dr Perez, was professional and very efficient. The optical assistant, Juan, told me that if I waited, the glasses could be ready the same day!! And to add to the excellent experience, Juan even fixed my broken glasses. This place is a gem!!! Being away from home, for an unspecified time due to a family emergency, is very very difficult. Finding a place like Optical Reflections just made my day.  Thank you to all the staff for their outstanding professional services. It is so refreshing to find places like this. Amid the difficult days our family has experienced, thank you for making this a wonderful experience. God bless you and your families.

Gave Dr. Rios a shot since his new location (Alton Gloor) is so close to my house. I was very impressed with his thoroughness and desire to get my prescription right. His staff was extremely friendly. Very happy to find an optometrist so close to my house that is actually really good. I highly recommend.

The first time I visited this doctor he took his time to make sure my prescription was correct for me. After getting the glasses with the new prescription lenses I wore them for a week straight and found that the prescription wasn’t working for me. I called to inform them and see if it could get adjusted and it seemed like that was a bother for the doctor. At first he didn’t want to change my prescription and when I tried to explain what was wrong and what I was feeling, slightly light headed, eyes strain, inability to focus on objects further away that now appeared blurred he wouldn’t listen and talked over me. Also, the equipment was dirty, and when I mentioned that the lens in the apparatus was blurred/foggy he said it was my fault with the mask. It was dirty before I even looked through it. Will be looking for another optometrist if this new change in my prescription doesn’t work out.

BEWARE If you have vision insurance check what it covers. Optical Reflections was wanting to charge me for my lenses when my insurance covers them 100%. They didn't even want to contact the insurance company to confirm what I was telling them. I went to America's Best and the polycarbonate lenses were in fact covered 100% by my insurance all she did was check through their system. Imagine how many times Optical Reflections has done this to their patients and shame on them if they're double dipping.
