I've been a patient six months. Great Dr's and staff. I've had timely and professional care. I've been able to have questions answered that calmed my nerves and helped me understand what was going on with my eye. I've only had one experience that was not positive. That was needing to pay the entire balance of my deductible at one time upon arriving for my 2nd appointment. I had not expected that or been informed prior to that visit. Now that I know that's expected I will be ready when my insurance year starts over. Again, very good care!

My 88 year mother got shingles in her eye and it was a nightmare. The ER doctor recommended my mom to see Dr. Shah. In a nut shell, I called Dr. Shah several times and I was passed on with no help. My mother had an appointment time to see Dr. Shah on September 23 at 8:00, and because she did not have a photo ID, they refused to see her. What kind of world are we living in when a Doctor will not see a 88 year old woman with shingles in her eyes just because she does not have a drivers license. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone, and they may be hearing from my lawyer.

I have been going to see Dr. Shah for about two years now. I have always received great care, I had cataracts removed from both eyes, Dr Shah explained everything before surgery and called to check on me when I returned home.
I have an on going glaucoma problem, she has continues to try to find the solution to the problem. She is very caring, professional, and knowledgeable, I have no doubt that she will find the solution.
The staff in the front office and treatment rooms have always been friendly and helpful, and making me feel very comfortable.

It's always a positive experience at this office. The Dr's are very thorough, I have been going here for 3+ years. I recently had cateract surgery on one eye, with the other eye in a cpl weeks. I had no discomfort what so ever!

I cannot comment on the Doctors, but I can say that this practice has the worst-run front desk I've ever interacted with. I arrived almost 30 minutes early to fill out new patient paperwork, but instead was asked to answer questions verbally in front of the entire crowded waiting room. I was even asked for my Social Security Number, which I insisted on writing down for security purposes. I was asked for other personal information verbally without regard for my personal privacy or anonymity. This made me very uncomfortable, but my Primary Care Physician is a patient of Dr. Shah's, and had assured me she was an excellent provider, so I stayed.

Then came the final straw. I have Medicare A&B, and am part of a special program run by the State of Missouri which pays my co-pays for Doctor's visits. The staff had no idea what to do with my letter, and discussed it (and me) with all the sliding windows opened. Because I was one of the relatively few male patients in the waiting room, it was relatively easy for patients to know that the "he" they were referring to was me. In the meantime, I'm also hearing all the personal information being given out by other patients in the waiting room. I finally walked up to an open window where my payment was being discussed on the phone, and told the woman at the desk I was uncomfortable having my personal business discussed so openly.

This woman told me they would not accept my letter guaranteeing payment and that I would have to pay my co-pay before I could be seen. I explained that if I paid upfront, the program would not reimburse anyone for a bill that had already been paid. That made no difference. She wanted me to pay up front and then let her submit the bill as if it had not been paid already. She said the office would reimburse me when they received the check. I thought, and still think, that was unreasonable and unethical: while she didn't want to trust me to pay any amount the State of Missouri didn't cover (which has NEVER happened during the past 6 years I've been on the program), she wanted me to trust HER to make a false claim for an "unpaid" bill that I would have already paid, and then to trust her to reimburse me the money when she received it. As it so happened, earlier I had heard her asking another patient to pay a balance on a bill from his visit in June, so apparently not everyone has to pay up front.

I felt nauseated and told her I was leaving. I walked out the door, made it to the car, and started crying in frustration. I truly thought I was going to be sick. I had waited several weeks for this appointment; drove 45 minutes to get there; brought all my proof of insurance plus typed lists of my other medical providers and my prescription drugs; was looking forward to establishing a long-term relationship with Dr. Shah; and ended up being treated in the most disrespectful and unethical way imaginable by her staff. I have NEVER been treated that way in a medical setting. I am now scheduled to see an ophthalmologist in Springfield, two hours away, who will gladly accept my secondary payment information and trusts me that the bill will be paid in full. I just wish I hadn't wasted so much time waiting to be seen by a practice that is more interested in money than in patient care. By the way, I am not the first reviewer to complain about being mistreated by the front desk staff. That should speak volumes.

Dr. Ramesh Shah is a fantastic provider. I was pleasantly surprised she called me the evening of my surgery. I did have a slight issue and called the office two days after my surgery and she called me right away. I was seen and was well informed of my condition. I am on the mend and would recommend her to everyone. She has fantastic customer service.

Both Dr. Ramesh Shah and Dr. Heeral Shah Dalia are highly skilled professionals in their field. The supporting staff in their office are very helpful and polite to their patients. They are under tremendous pressure on a daily basis to coordinate and schedule and unfortunately get grief from patients who are extremely rude and hateful. I also know that there are patients who write bad reviews just to be beligerant. I personally have never had a bad experience in their office. I would definitely recommend these doctors and their staff to anyone needing their services.

I went to the eye center with my wife for some issues she was having. Although the people waiting were all wearing masks many of them had them on wrong. The waiting room was very full. We asked if we could wait in the car until they called us for our appointment because we were uncomfortable being around so many people, and they said we couldn't because the governor had loosened up the requirements and they were allowed to pack their waiting room again. Pretty sad attitude from healthcare professionals. We complained about the people with their masks on wrong to an assistant who didn't really seem to care. Dr. Heeral Shah spent about 5 minutes with us and sent us on our way. A few days later she sent us a certified letter saying she was discontinuing as my wife's ophthalmologist, with no other explanation. We assume it's because of the complaints about the packed waiting room and incorrect use of the masks.

Regarding the reply to my review, Dr Shah should review her procedures with her staff because they were not following the guidelines she outlined in her reply. We asked if we could wait in the car and her staff said no. We had to ask a staff member to ask other patients to put their mask on properly and they appeared put-out about having to do so. We also got no explanation as to why she discontinued my wife as a patient.
