She made me feel comfortable and provided a safe environment for me to discuss my situation. I wish I could say the same about the reception staff…that was not a pleasant experience…but I highly recommend Alyssa as a therapist!!

FRONT OFFICE STAFF IS VERY RUDE! BE CAUTIOUS WHEN CALLING! BUT… I highly recommend Alyssa Hopkins for anyone seeking professional therapy services. I was referred to Alyssa for therapy services due to hearing about the extraordinary work she does with mental health services. I saw Alyssa for a short amount of time had seen significant improvements in my mental health. Alyssa truly listened to my concerns. I felt safe and heard during our sessions and always left feeling comforted and motivated.

The people here are amazing, from the staff, to the group members! I have learned so much from them. I was in group meetings, and they were very welcoming, and non judgmental. It was worth the drive to Douglasville! This was an eye opener and if you’re really serious about the road to recovery definitely check them out!

5/27 Well, i really wanted to love this therapist. Unfortunately after our chat on the 21st we were scheduled today. Joined the zoom call and nothing. Called the office twice and nothing. She never showed. I’m disappointed. Take your child elsewhere. This isn’t the experience anyone who’s battling with mental issues should have to deal with.

Update-5/21Dr. Sims called me to apologizing about the scheduling conflict. There seems to be an issue with their system. I appreciate the fact that she called to explain and after talking to her I am looking forward to working with her moving forward.**

I scheduled my daughter to have an appointment on Thursday at 4pm as a new patient. I called a few days ahead and was given multiple days and times. After selecting that day and time I was sent documents online to complete. I sat down with my teenage daughter to do the paperwork which asks all types of hard questions as we completed the paperwork I was confident that we’d get some support for her. I was told once the paperwork was submitted I’d get a online link the day of the appointment. Today, I didn’t have anything by 10am so I called. I was told that they would call Dr Sims and have her send it. At 1pm still nothing so I called again, I was told the same thing, at 3:30 again nothing and at 4 no answer and 4:05 I simply left a message stating how disappointed I was that I have a teenager who is looking forward to being serviced for her feelings and we can’t even get a person to solidify the appointment I made days prior. My review is if we can’t even be competent in the appointment process why would I trust my child or anyone dealing with issues to this. Find someone else! I understand Covid changed some processes but we have been in this a year now. Now, more than ever we should be able to simply solidify an appointment especially when I called all day!

Their auto emails from Gabrielle are outdated . The email I received said fill out the documents and schedule an appointment online. I did that. Filling out the documents took about 15-20 min and some of the documents were very repetitive.

Day of my appointment I called several times to confirm. Someone finally called me back 30 mins before my appointment and said Gerald doesn't accept appointments at 730. . . Then why did his schedule allow me to book a 730 appointment ?

Also the appointment schedule only had Gerald and Gabrielle. The person I spoke with on the phone said their are more people I could see.

I do not recommend them. Taking the first step to find a therapist is hard enough and recovery unlimited did not make it any easier. I was very dissatisfied.

Terrible office staff, extremely rude, very often outright lying to cover their clerical mistakes. After 1st initial appt was made, called to let office staff know I did not receive the paperwork. They accused me of lying and said I did in fact have it. I asked them to verify the email and they had sent to incorrect email. They then later proceeded to drop my 8 year old kid as a patient without notice due to a single “missed” appt that had been rescheduled due to her having the flu 3 days in advanceShowed up to an appt that the staff had failed to call and let me know they had cancelled due to the therapist being out unexpectedly. I showed them the call log and they insisted they spoke to me. Decent therapist, awful front staff. If i could give 0 stars I would.
