Probably one of the most dysfunctional Ophthalmology offices In the area for Brunswick. My wife was misdiagnosed in her prescription at the Brunswick office. Fortunately, the Kingsland office fixed the issue to which we are now patients of. Then, my wife has had her prescription contacts misplaced/sent back to the distributor due to the Brunswick office not reading my wife is a patient of the Kingsland office. This has occurred the past 2 times in a row for ordering contacts through them. The Kingsland office is fantastic but the Brunswick office is abysmal in their service. I would not recommend the Brunswick office to anyone.

EDIT: this is a response to the comment left below by Seaside. Their explanation of what was wrong was not at all what I was told. I was told the Contacts had been there 10 days and shipped back to the distributor. Not that they were on back order. We were not notified that they were in and you ship them back even though you could have let the Kingsland office know and we would’ve come pick them up, or you could have mailed them down.

This really brings to light the dysfunction, especially in communication, that I had mentioned in the first part of my review.

We arrived on Thursday afternoon at the Cloister for a long planned Memorial Day weekend with my daughter, her husband and their kids, our grandchildren. The next day I realized that I needed medical care. My wife and I went to St. Simons Immediate Care Facility. The staff took immediate steps to arrange an appointment with a doctor-I believe that it was Dr. Phelps- at Seaside Eyes in Brunswick. (Keep in mind, this was Memorial Day weekend.) Within the hour, I was tested, diagnosed and sent to the CVS pursuant to a prescription that the doctor had already called in.

Professionalism, thy name is Seaside Eyes. Thank you.

I went in to have my eyes checked. Dr. SCOTT Said she was afraid to dilate my right eye...I could lose my vision. That is the only reason I had the cataract surgery. She assured me I would be put totally out while in surgery. I WAS NOT! I felt the shot in my eye. Asked for more medication she said "you can't talk, I'm working on your eye". I now have floaters worse vision and scar tissue. I FELT every terrible experience. Of them inserting the thing that sucked out my cataract. And that was several years ago but still have trouble. I go now to Jacksonville for my eye problems. I wish I had never stepped into Seaside Ophthalmology.

On November 2, 2023, I went in for an eye exam related to an undiagnosed rash covering my face. After having several health care professionals unable to diagnose the rash, I was prescribed fungal medication. I visited Dr. Jordan who observed that the redness inside my eyes were likely caused by an allergic reaction and not a fungal issue. After receiving eye drops and following her direction to switch to a cortisone cream, I was able to stop the severe itching associated to the rash. Dr. Jordan went over and beyond to find the root of the issue and set me on the correct path for recovery. I’m not from the area and was grateful for her professionalism.

I just completed bilateral cataract surgery at Seaside Ophthalmology. I’m very pleased with Dr. Brooks and all of the support Staff; from the Front desk to the Surgery Department. My post-op visits have been just as personable and professional, as the surgery.

My only regret is not having this life-changing surgery a year ago.

My husband and I have both taken in our prescriptions to get glasses at the Optical department at Seaside Ophthalmology. They have a vast selection everyone is very helpful and competent.

They also care about quality and customer service. When an issue cropped up with my order due one of their new vendors, they went above and beyond to make sure that the issue was resolved to my satisfaction.

Kim was the key to making things work out in the end and she communicated progress with me every step of the way. I can't say enough about how much I value companies and people who will advocate for their customers.

The glasses that we did receive were of top quality, they wouldn't accept any less, and I highly recommend this Optical team to anyone.

I have had very good experiences at Seaside Ophthalmology. I was originally referred here by my endocrinologist at the time due to my having diabetes and needing to take care of my eyesight. I saw Dr. Angela Scott for a diabetic eye exam, and was pleasantly pleased by her thoroughness and treatment. I knew that I was going to need some eyeglasses because I had been wearing just your everyday $10 reading glasses--prescription glasses aren't cheap, anyway you look at it, even if you have insurance. At the time, I didn't have insurance. But the nice young lady in the vision center helped me pick out a pair of frames, and also helped me meet my budget for the eyeglasses as a whole. I recently went back for another needed eye exam to see if my vision had changed, and Dr. Phelps was very thorough as well. I will continue to go to Seaside Ophthalmology for my eye and vision needs!

My two successful laser cataract surgery operations at Seaside Ophthalmology cost ~$8715; $3115 paid by insurance, the remaining $5600 by the patient. The facility fees cost $2400. I highly appreciate my newly discovered clear vision.
