Second time going for eye checkup, doctor was nice and knowledgeable, she examined my eyes deeply, no rush. The problem was staff, she was nice until I told her I need to think about getting glasses today, and I come back later. She didn’t even gave my eye drops that doctor put it in my file. She wanted to get rid of me asap.

This is my second year going to Solano Eyecare for eye examinations and glasses. The office is very bright and is very pleasant. The staff is warm and I very much appreciate the reminders before my appointment. I have been seeing Dr, Nguyen, and find him very pleasant, professional, and helpful for solutions to my particular needs(glasses to read music ). The staff was extremely helpful in helping me find the perfect pair of glasses and fit. I highly recommend the Solano Eyecare.

So I had an eye appointment at Solano Eyecare today(9/14). Booked it for 11:00 am on Tuesday 9/12, and I made sure to ask the receptionist how long it would be because I needed to be home by 12:00 pm. He told me it would take no more than 30 minutes.

I arrived at 10:45(15mins earlier), got the paperwork done, and everything started smoothly. The doctor and the assistant were great. But when we got to the part with the diagnostic eye drops, they had me wait outside for a whole hour(1 hr = from exam finished - pupil dilation). By the time I felt the effect of the drops wearing off (I could even read messages on my phone), it was already 12:26 pm and the doctor was still with another patient. When I asked how much longer it would be, they couldn’t even give me a clear answer.

In the end, I sat around for more than an hour just for a quick 1-minute check-up. On top of that, my parking ran out, I missed lunch with my husband, and we both had to race back for a meeting at 1 pm.

I would've been okay if they'd let me know it might take 2 hours. But squeezing in so many patients and not informing me about the potential wait? Not cool at all.

I had such a fantastic experience at Solano Eyecare! From the front desk to Dr. Andy to the frame specialist, they were efficient, helpful, and provided all around excellent service. I am so glad I found this spot for my aging eyes.
