They are so nice and helped me out a lot! Rose is so sweet and amazing at helping pick out the perfect frames. Erika is so kind and I love chatting with her. Dr. Frits is very smart, awesome, and I trust my eyesight under his care!! Overall such a great place and experience!!

For the most part the people are nice, and polite enough, but the system used for moving people through the office is flawed.

My first appointment, I had to reschedule because according to the staff, they had issues with my insurance, but they never notified me until I asked why I hadn’t been seen 45 minutes after my appointment time.

My second attempt was fine, but we were made to wait about 25 minutes after we left the exam room, just to check out. To make matters worse, my husband kept trying to ask what was going on, and the two ladies in the window, completely ignored him.

I never received the link to get my prescriptions, that was supposed to be sent to my email. One person did print out my contact prescription, when I told her we were new to the area, and hadn’t even set up our printer. But I never received a link for my glasses.

Southeast Eye Group and staff are amazing!

I had severe eye pain in my left eye, strained eye sight and headaches. Dr. Joey’s Hiawassee office was able to get me a same day appointment and Dr. Joey was able to find the issue immediately. His office is the only one that does Neurolens testing for eye misalignment in the area! He was able to find the Convergence Insufficiency diagnosis in less than 5 minutes. The Neurolens testing was easy and quick! He recommended the new NeuroLens glasses for me to help my vision issues. It took less than 2 weeks for the new glasses to arrive and I could feel my eyes correct themselves and the eye pain immediately went away when I tried them on in the office. NeuroLens glasses was life changing. I have had zero eye pain since wearing the new glasses. Also, after speaking with Dr. Joey about my children’s diagnosis with Dyslexia and my son was complaining about headaches and blurred vision when reading at school. He recommended the Neurolens test for my children who are 8 and 11 years old. He was able to diagnosis both my children with Convergence Insufficiency using the Neurolens testing too! My children are 8 and 11 years old and the test was so easy for both of them to follow! They both are getting Neurolens glasses to help them with reading during school! Dr. Joey and his staff are amazing! This office is is the only place we trust for an eye doctor! Neurolens is worth every penny.

Please someone explain to me why this eye doctor does a cataract surgery, then wants to see the patient for follow up the same day of surgery to make sure it went well, then wants to charge them for an office visit. Van we say ripping off the customer. I asked the lady why she said it's the insurance company. I'm not a fool it's the office charging. I mean,not all seniors have a money for a co pay each time. Oh and let me add the patient goes back a few days later , will she be charged again .

Dr. Dane Fritts is great at what he does and he is enjoyable to talk to as well. When seeking an eye Dr, I had asked around the area who was worth seeing and 4/5 people had mentioned Dr. Dane and he did not disappoint! Thank you SEG and Dr. Fritts.

Sat in a small darkened room for 40 minutes waiting for the doctor, then got hit with surprise charges and a smug, don't care attitude when I protested. Go elsewhere.

Our first visit to have eye exams , I can't say enough of how professional and how thorough the staff and doctors are , I have never had such a thorough eye exam , it all starts walking in the front door and being greeted by the receptionist Lisa who is very kind and professional it just got better from there all the girls performing the eye test to Amanda setting up new lenses .

Extremely angry to find out after being told on the phone when the appointment was confirmed that my vision insurance was accepted to it actually not after the appointment. Ended up with a $288 unexpected bill. This is terrible misinformation! I love this practice, but now I’m going to have to go elsewhere because I cannot afford this out of pocket.
