OMG! I'm so happy to have been referred to this location for my eye situation. The staff from the front desk to the back end staff including the doctor that took care of me were very professional and informative as well attentive to my visit. Everyone was pleasant and greeted me with highly important. They were very thorough and extremely helpful in every step of my process through their care. Doctor took my visit of highly important and informed me about my matter and quickly referred me to the doctor for the laser procedure in which all within two days of process. So grateful for their work and attention to my issue that out of the blue I came into without knowledge of what had happened to my eye. Indeed highly recommend them to anyone in need of good eye care. Nothing but gratifications for the work they extended to me during my uncertainty on my need.

So I have an appointment for a yearly eye exam that was supposed to be last month but they canceled it and rescheduled it for today. I have a text from them that shows my appointment is at 3pm and it’s almost 3:40 and I’m still sitting in the waiting room. When I asked the secretary she seemed unconcerned and told me there is still one person in front of me. I definitely won’t be coming back next year, and if I wasn’t having a problem with my vision, I would leave. Dr. Robinson is who I am seeing today, maybe.

Learn how to schedule your patients. At 10am you are already 30 minutes behind schedule. That is unacceptable! I for one and done letting Dr’s knowingly mismanage their schedules. People are taking time away from work and now missing other appointments because you are so far behind. Inexcusable

I just have to express my opinion on how wonderful the entire staff is at Starling Eye Center in Bristol. I Always feel welcome and find everyone is compassionate especially Jasmine the surgery coordinator. She always answers all my questions in detail and makes me feel at ease. I always feel good when I leave her office. ?

This is my first ever review. I’ve never been spoken to more rudely by someone in a doctors office setting. I called this morning to inquire about making an appointment after being referred to Dr Russo by the ER. The woman on the phone was extremely rude. I explained to her what was going on and that I’d like to make an appointment to have it checked out. She took my information and then asked what insurance I have. I told her I use Husky (state insurance) to which she said oh we don’t accept that. The issue I’m having is pretty serious so I asked her how much an initial visit would be to which she replied “215 but that doesn’t include treatment” I told her I’d still like to schedule an appointment to which she replied “well would you be able or willing to pay for treatment then” and I replied well I’d have to I need to get this issue fixed. I then told her that the ER had given me one other name as well and I would try calling them to see if they accepted my insurance but that I’d still like to make an appointment with her because I needed to be seen and asked her when the soonest appointment would be to which she replied well we don’t have anything for a few days. I could tell then that she didn’t want to set me up with an appointment due to my insurance. She probably figured I wouldn’t be able to pay for it. I told her I would try to call the other doctor and she HUNG UP not even “have a nice day” no goodbye nothing just click. I would never bring my business here. How can you have someone who is talking to patients act that way? I have a serious issue with my eye that is really putting stress on me and to be made to feel that way when inquiring for help is just demeaning. This woman needs to be retrained on how to deal with patients because this isn’t it.

This has to be the worst experience. I don't think I have ever written a bad review. I've been going to Dr. Robinson for a few years and really haven't had any problems. This past summer I went and they gave me bifocals after telling me I had 20/20 vision with my current glasses. I normally wear glasses just for the computer. I can see, but my eyes strain. When I called to talk about my eye prescription the staff was very rude and told me to go get glasses over the counter. When I asked why they gave me a script if I could get my glasses at a store, they told me it was part of the examination. Then I needed photos taken. Their machines couldn't get the picture so they told me they would call me into their New Britain office. A month later I received quit a bill for my examination, $50 for the prescription they told me was part of the examination, over $100 for photos they never took. I did call the office and I'm still waiting for a call back, but have received 2 bills from them. (My bill is over $300 where I never paid anything before he moved. Maybe insurance?) I also ordered the bifocals that they said I needed and couldn't wear them and then went to the store as they said for over the counter glasses. I will NEVER return. I'm still contemplating on reporting them to the Better Business Bureau for paying for service that was not complete and a script they personally told me was part of the examination.

There seems to be some real issues with staffing at this location. Between scheduling, new patient data, payment, the communication between the front office and techs was non existent. I am not sure if they have had a massive turnaround, but the result of this was exceptionally long waiting times. everyone in the waiting room had been there over an hour. After a communication error caused me to be overcharged I decided to take my business elsewhere .

the reason i gave this location 3/5 is because Dr Russo is very good. I have had experience with him before and would recommend. I was even willing to pay extra to keep the appointment with him. But I will no longer be using them for anything routine.
