I made an appointment for a comprehensive eye exam over the phone. I specifically mentioned I only need a prescription to buy glasses online. They said that was fine. After I paid I mentioned I needed my pupillary distance measured as required when buying glasses online. They told me they couldn't do it because the optician wasn't in. I asked if I could come back to have my pupillary distance measured. They said I could not. Then the manager came out and said the people who sell your glasses are supposed to measure it. I guess she doesn't understand the Internet isn't an actual person. I would not trust an ophthalmologist or optometrist to do a proper exam on my eyes if if they're not capable of measuring pupillary distance. They were dismissive condescending rude and the service was terrible. Complete waste of my time. Cancelled the exam and got my money back

My wife and I have been with Stl Vision previously Pernoud Eye Institute all the way back to the 1980's. The doctors have always been professional and courteous. The optical shop has a great selection of glasses to choose from as well. We both recently purchased new glasses there. Veronica was so helpful. Thank you Stl. Vision!

I can’t recall the last time I had such a great experience with a medical group. I was highly recommended to STL Vision by my brother who had a similar experience months ago.

A couple months ago I started experiencing a fuzziness/film over one of my eyes. After many years of not seeing an eye doctor, I decided to make an appt. with STL Vision following my brother’s recommendation/experience. The staff was so thorough with their questions in the initial call to help determine which Dr would be best to see. It was decided that I should see Dr. Schell. From the moment of that first call a couple months ago to today’s follow -up visit for my 2nd cataract surgery, I have nothing but respect and appreciation for this group’s professionalism, kindness, knowledge and top-notch quality care. Every team member that I came in contact with was so nice and took such good care of me…Joy, Natalie, Karen and Shawn. Aside from Dr. Schell, I spent the majority of my time with Natalie during the pre-op appts. I left those appts feeling well informed, prepared and comfortable about my upcoming surgeries. Dr. Schell is a gem. He is a highly regarded expert in his field and such a kind man. He was thorough in all explanations about my eye health from that first appt. to every appt. following. I never felt anxiety over either of my surgeries because of his reassuring and confident demeanor during my appts, in the pre-op area and also during my surgery. He even called after both surgeries to make sure I was doing ok. I feel 100% confident putting my eye health in his care.

I cannot recommend STL Vision enough to anyone who is looking for top-notch quality eye care!

If you're looking for a skilled, professional, caring, customer focused team for your eye care needs, look no farther than STL Vision. Everyone that I've dealt with at STL Vision, including receptionists, technicians and doctors, listen and treat me like a person, not a number.

I have multiple eye conditions and trust their ability to manage all of them from minor (like eye irritation due to allergies) to major (like glaucoma, cataracts and macular degeneration).

A special shout out to Joy, Jessica, Shawn and Dr. Schell for their compassion, knowledge and skill in dealing with my latest eye issue. Just yesterday, I called the office about eye irritation that I suspected was allergy related. They decided it best for me to be seen by Dr. Schell and were able to fit me in this morning. I left the office with a diagnosis, treatment plan and follow up appointment for a week from now.

Working with STL Vision was the best vision experience I have had in the more than 10 years of wearing glasses. Dr. Schell was friendly, professional, and for the first time explained exactly what was going on with my eyes. I was considering surgery and he took the time to explain why that would not be my best option. I now have prescription sunglasses for distance and regular glasses for computer work. I have never seen better! I highly recommend going to STL vision.
