I appreciate Dr. Zhang’s detailed medical explanation of each part of the eye exam, before we proceeded to the next step. I left the appointment fully educated on the quirks of my astigmatism. I would recommend her to anyone who needs advanced eye care. Thank you for the personal care! I’ll be back next year Dr. Zhang! The assistant was nice, Raja. But I felt extremely rushed and unheard by Dr. Kang. I expressed concerns about my eyesight changing and they were not addressed. I was hoping to have my glasses prescription reviewed and we did a super rushed test but nothing was explained to me and we didn’t discuss any potential sources for my concern. Every time I spoke I was interrupted or rushed through with uh-huhs. I was quickly given a contact lens prescription and sent on my way. This was very disappointing and I feel like I will have to find a new eye doctor to get a second opinion.

I did not get an eye exam. I was turned away because my service dog was not allowed to accompany me. THE office staff informed me that my registered service dog could not go into the examination room due to allergies. The Dr. Is SUPOSEDLY allergic to dogs, and the receptionist said other patients could have allergic reactions from residual? (Who know what). I said I could go elsewhere. BTW... Your staff opened this company up to a LAWSUIT, Fines and investigation per the ADA GUIDELINES. The obvious LIE about allergies was insulting and discriminating. When the younger receptionist told the other worker that I had a service dog, (who was contained in an enclosed cart,) the other person rolled her eyes! I was very upset and left feeling embarrassed and humiliated and with no access to healthcare at your facility. I used to like this Office. NOT ANY MORE!

Dr. Zhang is an excellent doctor. As a patient with amblyopia, it's very difficult for me to get suitable glasses. She was very patient and helped me a lot. I needed a vision report for the DMV and a referral to a health center, and Dr. Zhang provided both. She is truly a great doctor.

First of all, there was a machine that they used was new and the lady didn’t know how to use it. It took many attempts but wasn’t successful. I understand that it was a new machine but why wasn’t she trained on how to use it? The optometrist had to come in and try to help her but the optometrist couldn’t get it to work properly either. The optometrist said that she will just do the things the machine we as supposed to do manually. Then I wasn’t implying with the optometrist. I didn’t feel like my vision was properly checked. She didn’t have me view the letters for the different magnifications through the equipment. She relied on a paddle that only gave me 2 options. Plus, she couldn’t manually get my eye pressure reading on the first try.
I feel that my one yearly health plan benefit was a total waste. Needless to say I will NOT be using this particular optometrist practice ever again. I will happily go to the practice at the LensCrafters in San Jose that has given me top notch service every time I go.

I've been seeing Dr. Zhang for many, many years. She's the best, which is why I keep coming back! Very thorough, professional and patient in answering all questions. All of the staff at Lenscrafters are very friendly and helpful.
